She walks in starlight in another world.

It was deafening, the beating of her heart drumming loudly in her ears, the anxiety that rose up to a dizzying experience as she felt him preparing from behind. She anticipated the same stabbing pain, for her to hold back cries for the sake of not disturbing Quicksilver as this was not the man from before... but as his breath broke through her thoughts, his touch along her nape which calmed the shuddering throughout her body.

There was still a moment of pain, her body tensed reactively and soon enough relaxed. Finding peace as the sensation was different than the last - it was enjoyable, dared she say even fun? As soon as she let go of previous experiences, wholly giving in to Quicksilver, it was like nothing else existed outside of them.

When it was all done, she was in a state of euphoria. After all the anxieties that had built up just before the event had been washed away, from her head down to her toes it felt like she had no bones left, the only movement was her tail happily, lazily, beating the ground with a slow gleeful rhythm as the Druid drew her attention to him.

Of course, she would turn to greet his stare with her own tired, loving eyes. That look he gave her still made butterflies flutter in the bit of her stomach and couldn't hold back the need to shuffle in closer. To give him an appreciative kiss on his muzzle before pressing herself against him for a post-coitus cuddle and thinking to herself; she could die here, right now, and have no regrets.

She shifted, and the look she gave him was enough to reduce him to a puddle of happy, silver goop. The druid watched sleepily as Reiko scooted closer and let her press to his flank, her touch electric. His skin pricked, goosebumps lifting fur, and he felt himself shudder with an undercurrent of pleasure.

“Mmm,” he murmured, pushing against her gently and trailing his nose through the alabaster of her ruff where he pressed his muzzle among the waves; “you are amazing.”

Quicksilver drew in that hint of lavender through flared nostrils, even more intoxicating than before. The scent of sex hung all around them, clung to their pelts and to those on which they lay, and the silverwhite was content to bask for a while longer.

There they were, just two puddles sharing a moment after what seemed like an eternity of struggles, pain, and hardships shared between them. Gone, cast away into the wind for the time being as they only thought of the now, of the intimacy they shared and trust given to one another to show such a vulnerable side to one another.

She felt the warmth creep back to her face at his words, and as if trying to hide the embarrassment of his compliment on her face, the girl tucked her head into his fur. “I was just thinking the same thing of you.” Voice muffled in his hairs but clear enough to be heard. She'd stay like this for as long as they could until goodbyes had to come around once more seeing that the Druid and she had duties apart from each other.

But she would remember this. The scent that lingered in the den, on her bed. It was strangely perfect, as there was not a single thing she would change.

He felt warm, tired and, most importantly, happy - genuinely, for the first time in so long. A sense of calm hung over the two lovers who lay in one another's embrace. Quicksilver didn't want to worry about what had happened before or what might become of them, but he could not control his whirlwind thoughts. He found himself looking at her with fondness in his pastel gaze, hoping fiercely that they could continue to explore whatever fate had in store for them.

The druid closed his eyes, tucking Reiko's head beneath his own and twitching a sterling lobe to catch her response. He smiled into her Winter-white furs and said no more, simply willed time to slow down so they could enjoy those final hours together before duty separated them once again to different parts of the world.
