It was at this time of the day that Quicksilver and she had watched the sun set over the mountains, where they had shared a quiet moment to watch Tsukiishi's smaller peaks in the distance as they glistened with the snow and brilliant display of the setting sun. She would ask @Tiberius to escort her to the spot within the gardens with an odd request as to why. Normally she would just come on her own, not wanting to bother anyone in Shiroshika with personal errands such as this - but with her recent troubles and stress placed on the pack, it seemed to keep Tiberius near her during these little trips was the best to ease any anxieties.
They had arrived across the glacier and into the field of decaying flowers, where the snow began to sweep across the fields that were once rich with herbs, flowers and berries now desolate and cold just as any other region within the tundra. Once finding a comfortable place, the empress would toss her head up to the heavens and begin to howl. Singing a long song for her wayward son @Haruki at first. The song of a mother who had still yet to give up on the search for her child who had yet to return home. Delicate notes sung loud enough to hover over the hills and carry into the painted skies, only to fade into an echo as snowy ears pulled forward to attention... hoping to hear him call out to her in return... and as usual - nothing. Slender shoulders dropped only for a moment, letting the silence linger a little while longer before continuing with the second song to follow.
One that was sung for someone else. To a handsome young man in Vanderfell who had taken very good care of her during a time of need. To the one who had a broken heart thanks to her ignorance, to the one who mourned a painful decision he dared not make. The second melody was directed to @Quicksilver. Hoping that he was at the same spot they shared and heard the melody that was specifically for him. To lift his spirit in a different way as she could not venture out his way to drop off any more flowers. Even if things could never return to be the same, even if he could not come to love her as he did before; she still held onto hope that he could find that joy he had before. Expecting no call in return, once it was finished she would turn to Tiberius for them to return home - not wanting to take up too much more of his time seeing as the sun had faded already along with the melodies that echoed in the distance.
