^^Cirilla’s ears lowered and her eyes narrowed. He GUESS that he liked her in the romantic sense, and thought it was COOL that she liked -- or thought she liked him in the romantic sense, too. Something about that just didn’t sit right with her. She didn’t like half truths, or guessing games. Either he knew he did, or he didn’t. And it felt like he didn’t.

There should be no guessing involved, right? She made him feel funny, which was not something he’d ever felt before? How did he know it just wasn’t disgust? Perhaps this was too fast; perhaps Cirilla was reading too much into it.

“Right. So, I think I’ma go. I need… to speak to Reiko about something. ” She didn’t really, but she needed an excuse to leave. So she moved to leave, pausing a moment to look back at him. “It was nice meeting you, I guess.. ”

And then off she went, to go find Reiko or some place to hide because boys and emotions were hard.

Had he just… fucked up again? Stark had literally just- pretty much confessed to her right in her face but she suddenly acted different and said she had to leave. And she even- left. Stark sat there shocked and just stared at her as she left, opening his mouth to speak but unable to voice words.

And then, she was gone. And Stark felt so empty and numb all of a sudden that he just laid back down by the water’s edge and threw his paws over his face and just continued to exist while tons of internal screeching took place, and a feeling of confusion and dread so big he could cry.
