As @Kei came with Vendrussel to find the prophesied area, she sadly couldn't give exact details. The most that was remembered was the harsh sound of the waves clashing, and herself being dragged underneath. She could see the shadow of the beast, and the rocks that formed around as thunder stroke down in the wake of a stormy sea. She saw little land within, but will always remember the 'find me,' the beast so said, and pulled her west with an unknown force she decided to trust. For all she knew, it could be an ancient pulling her forth, one of them at least.

Highly so she was trusting them, asking for answers - for that was all she knew when there was nothing else. Even before though they weren't into her thoughts as much as it was now. She just.. Wanted something to believe in her, when she questioned herself what was her purpose, in this newfound world.

Crossing alongside the coast, Vendrussel's head swiveled to the look of the distance. Large stones within the waters, often waves splashing harshly against ; but they stood strong. It wasn't just an area of a small porportion, the stones were enermous, they were living cliffs away from the coastline. Yet, when one peaked enough through the dense scattering of rocks, she could almost make out an island..

The roaring tides had made her stop, the sound of the beast whispering in her head, 'find me,' through the drowning of her life and the harsh waters smashing into her, "This is it," she said without skipping a beat, without looking toward Kei.

Though the rock was not of a dragon, the way it built could say to be a head, the beast, a shadow of what she saw underneath the water ; so Vendrussel deducted, for she couldn't truly know if they were exact, but to a delusional dream how she connected the dots. How all her feelings simply said, it was here.

And so she dived into the waters, leaving Kei behind.

Their travels had only stolen her away for a few days as they journeyed north. Somewhere along the lines, Vendrussel had met another, though Kei had yet to meet them and by the time she found Venny again, it seemed they had gotten ahead of her other companion. Insisting that the other would keep up just fine, they continued on ahead until the sea's roar grew louder and the crash of waves rumbled along the shores and black rocks left in the wake.

To the shadow, they had found a pile of rocks, but Vendrussel said otherwise. Not once did she peel her eyes to look back at her, instead she just gazed like the distant isles was a gift, pulled from the sea and sculpted in the image of her beloved ancients. Kei opened her mouth, a moment too late to inquire further as her friend jumped, plunging to the waters below and all the lone dragon could do was watch with parted jaws.

Of course, she was aware of the water serpent's home. How all were swimmers and took to the edge of the sea, but to plunge so freely with unknown waters still shocked her. Almost like she forgot in some ways Vendrussel had been her counterpart to a distant pack. Still, venturing unknown mountains felt safer in her eyes than unknown waters.

She dived without a care, into familiar sea-salt that drenched into her pelt. She had forgotten of @Kei, and even @Monarch who was behind the two ; for she knew this was the place. Diving under and feel the harsh waves control her through, body drifted against the stony embrace of the high marks, when she emerged from the water, her blue eyes gazed high to the stone. Though the one within her dreams was but a blurr, the one before it looked all-so familiar. A leviathan, emerging from the earth itself in a stoney immortal grave - this!

this was where she was meant to be!

Her paws could feel the ground, if low tides were be, she may be able to stand nicely amongst a path of rock and coldness. Though the ocean was high, swung and took her away from where her paws could reach, and threw her away from the future pathway to inland. She cast a gaze back to Kei, confidence within her gaze before dipping back into the cold watery depths, taken away by the waves itself.

Fighting through though, she was not unfamiliar. Her body twisted and turn, padded with fury before finally, landing onto the shore the middle of it all. Large in island, coated in luxurious trees as it was, a beach to land as her paw heaved away from the water, feeling the weight of her drenched pelt take her down. Though before the waves were to be a death sentence, Vendrussel pulled herself up to higher grounds.

She howled - for the northern dragon has arrived to her destined land.

What felt like the longest moment stretched on as the shadow peered over the ledge, watching, waiting for her friend to surface. It wasn't until she finally did that she found herself exhaling a breath she had subconsciously held. Even now though, Vendrussel seemed too focused on her own task as she swam through the surf and crashing waves leaving her behind from the rocky shore.

It wouldn't be until the serpent of a wolf glanced back her way that she realized that perhaps she was expected to follow, but unlike her, Kei wasn't sure how strong her swimming was.  Certainly not confident enough to jump from the ledge. Not now at least, it had been far too long and her body too accumulated to a different terrain. So with a huff, she called back, Guess I'll find another way down!!! Yeah. No big deal. Just leave her there.

Her gaze would linger a moment longer, the dark-colored head bopping in the water as her friend made her way to the island's shores to let out a joyful song from the black island. Golden eyes found a small path leading down to where the beach grew sandy, the waves only mildly less daring than they were further out. With hesitant steps, she'd wade out as salty water weighed her fur and fresh waves crashed into her chest until eventually, she would lose her footing left to tred water for herself as she followed at a much slower pace.

When her excitement mellowed down and she looked back, Vendrussel watched Kei who seemed hesitant, pacing through the sands to find a more appropriate pathway, where the water was not as powerful. Unknowingly to her the other had a few worries, but she always held confidence to the woman who trained by the order to swim properly. Though that did bring to question, the other wolf who lagged behind.. Could she swim? To live upon them, to survive as dragon descendants, it was but a must! She mused on the other trials that came to ; particularly, the one diving off of a cliff.

Her gaze retreated to the livable island that was in-between the fearsome jagged rocks. If one could properly weave between, it was far easier to discover the treasure that laid beyond. A whole forest, large enough for a grand pack to take refuge in - she saw that it was high enough to avoid the tides at least, but it did bring wonder what would occur if storms would start to turn. Vendrussel wanted to dwelve further into it, she could hear the calling of the birds that nested within..

And looked back at Kei, a steady gaze on waiting - she was a bit slow.

The waters sucked at her sides, each wave attempting to slosh over her and drag her into the depths, but she kept kicking. She was slow, but not a hindrance so by the time Vendrussel was finally looking her way, the awe of her discovery shaken off she would be making the last final strides before dragging her soggy body onto the rocky shore.

Compared to her friend, Kei did not grow with the same love of water. It wasn't horrible, but she hated feeling soggy afterward. The shadow shook herself, freeing saltwater from fur until she looked like some slicked-back spikey wolf. A little warning next time, yeah? She swirled her tongue in her mouth, spitting out some of the salt taste that lingered.

"Where's the fun in that?" A drawled out chuckle alongside a bemused smile. She used a paw to slick pack the wet hair before her eyes, looking at the wet cat that was Kei, spikey in form from the waves tugging and turning, it brought a rather amusing look for a land-dwelling character. If she remembered rightly, the order was more mountain based rathern then near any oceans or tundras.. Vendrussel couldn't say she remembered visiting them, but obviously so the packs held some sort of neutrality with each other, with the previous scorn that the dragons had done to the land. Ah, the history that was burned to the mind, they drilled that well.

"This is the place," Vendrussel declared, "this was my dream." Obviously so, it wasn't exact. Though her dream was more of blurrs and standing heads of what assumed dragons were to be, she was being pulled around by the roaring tides. Yet, the same sound she could hear against the jagged rocks would be remembered, and the serpentine way it fell through.. So familiar she couldn't say it was anything else. The best part though, as the obvious island that in the middle of it all.

Her gaze retreated to the forest..

Kei could only roll her eyes as her friend teased her, Oh, ha ha. Sorry to ruin your fun. She'd jest all in good fun as she waddled after like a wet cat. So what, no dragons? No that she expected to actually see one of the great beasts. They were all part of legend nowadays, but she would be lying if she wasn't a tad disappointed Venny's dream didn't lead them to a living breathing beast.

Instead, they were left with spindly rocks housing the remains of a forest at its core. It was odd to see something exist this far out at sea, but enchanting nonetheless. Soo...you found your voice. What are you going to do now? Stay here obviously, but that seemed rather lonely. Who would even visit a bunch of rocks in the distant shores? Well...aside from her.

When she looked toward the left, there was the land that wrapped around. She could see a nest just hanging in an overhead tree, where a bird had landed quietly with a branch before disappearing once more. A calling to the sky, the seagulls lulling them with words of curses as wolves entered their peaceful land. When she looked to the right, there was a beach of sorts, more pleasant to the eye but a fearful thought if the water wouldn't stop rising to the land.. Yet the waves always were called back to the leviathans water, a tease of sorts.

Silent though, besides the gull and the lullaby of waves against the rocks. There was no dragon like her dream, "They're supposedly dead," Vendrussel shrugged with a laughter, "maybe they're hiding inside." It was said though all dragons had perished, a rumor had it some still survived to this day, instead of being an ancestor to said-dragon, they were the ancestor. In hiding, as they took a more beastial, mammal form amongst the wolves. But the one she saw was of spikes, not of fur.

"Claim it," a paw further, a head tipped upwards in a proud sense, a dangerous, but devilish smile "it's mine." Her thoughts aligned with the black dragon ; who would visit such a place? But to her it was the calling she was given, the place to be rebirthed and far from the desert. Chosen! She so believed, and willed within her heart. It may look like a chunk of rocks, but at least to her it was a beauty within the forest, a place to stay! For others it may simply draw them away, and she would be happy for that to occur then a fight to break out.

But as a northern dragon, she of course sought the comfort of others.. But would anyone join her upon this place? Survive in a unit, momentarily thinking of @Aarkron who tagged along, then disappeared like the wind itself. He would've been an accomplice in this new claim..

Dead. That she would believe. With how many stories there were she doubted that they never existed. After all, their packs had aligned over a shared cause generations ago due to the dragons, but now they had vanished. Who knew what had happened though. At Vendrussel's suggestion, she couldn't help but laugh and bump her hip into her friend's side. Yeah right. Hiding as a pile of bones maybe. Besides, I doubt they would be that small. Not that the rocky shores were small, but she fathomed the beasts to be unimaginably large.

Of course, Vendrussel was already getting ahead of herself. Claim the islands? With who? And why? They hadn't even finished exploring to deem it liveable or worth the effort yet, but that wasn't her grave to dig. She didn't live here. You can't be serious. Again, had she even asked her current stragglers if they could swim, or did they abandon them to the distant shores? You better hope your buddies can swim then or you need to find a better way to cross. A pack livin' out here isn't going to get much traffic. Which...could be good later on, but it's kinda hard to build up a pack in a secluded space.

"That just means I can be selective. Why let a strangers in, when can gather loyal members." Though she counted herself friendly, her homeland was definitely not. Isolated to outsiders, she was leaning toward the same thought, not desiring to simply let the lands be open and out. She valued loyalty a lot, the trust between others, and did not desire a large amount of wolves coming in that she didn't know. Kei was different, though troublesome and fiery as she was, she was a familiar rival, and someone that at the moment, unconsciously was leaning upon.

She smirked at the thought of forcing them into trials, and those who reject it.. Would be turned away.

"These lands seem to speak English though, I haven't heard any that spoke yours or mine yet." Though on the thought of letting such wolves oin her land, that now was officially claimed without a name.. It was a slight thought that her language was seemingly lost amongst the wolven kind, and any familiarity with 'dragons' were unknown. Only she, at the moment, held such culture, and Kei knowing an amount. Though knowing the womans language was far more common, the northern dragon would've thought that at least someone would show up.

Instead Vendrussel met a talking snake.

Selective is a good way to end up with no one when you have no one. Something surprisingly insightful from the brash warrior. It was some advice she could benefit from even now. Back home she had friends, a family that she was blessed with since birth. She had the ability to be selective and picky, but out here she was alone and she had been since she arrived because of her traits. The difference here was she didn't mind it anymore and Vendrussel wanted a pack. A pack was not one.

Neither have I. And while it was disappointing she didn't mind the ability to speak freely in her native tongue. You disappointed? With her teachings neither of them had a very standard pack life. If Venny planned on recreating what she had, well...it might take some time to train people into her ranks.

"Have I ever truly been alone?" She puffed her chest out a bit and lifted her head in a prideful stance, almost gloating, that unlike Kei, she was actually sociable. Vendrussel thought of herself relatively liked, even if her socializing tended to be limited to those of the dragon coast and the few allies they held. She had a confidence to gain a few those who may follow so, and even if not, she was relatively satisfied with a small unit of friends to call her own. It was how a flock lived.

"I suppose it's more of a realization, we are not near home anymore." She couldn't really.. Recall, how she arrived here. In the midst of a desert without barely any water, she had come through lightning itself, as the ground was charred from her arrival ; and yet, she was coated in seaweed, and heavily drenched in the oceans water. It remained a mystery how far they truly are from the land, and some part of her did want to search.. Yet she held this aching feeling, it wouldn't be wise to go home, as a faded memory as her fading away into the depths of the water, and watching a shadow loom above her. Now that, was no dream.

Someone tried to kill her.

The shadow only rolled her eyes at Vendrussel's display, the twitch of her tail flicking behind her in mild annoyance. Yes yes, she was still her rival to the end. The prodigy heiress of the dragons with the confidence to back it. It's not like Kei could speak on the matter, she was the same, still is the same. The only difference is she no longer had the ground or name to stand on. The thought made her lock her jaw if only momentarily, though if Vendrussel didn't know now she wasn't sure it was worth mentioning.

That life was gone. Just like she said.

They weren't near home now.

No...we aren't. Though it had been her intention since she left the Order it still hurt. Her mother could strip her name, that didn't matter anymore. It was what she took with it. Her family, her friends, her home. It's true she left on her own terms, but did she really have a choice? How could she stay after what her mother had done? Everyone saw her differently, and she was no stranger to the whispers as she walked by. But the gods have their reasons. It may be for the best. After all, they had both ended up here hadn't they? They weren't alone now.

wrap?

She had not been informed of the incident between Sybil and Kei. Though their packs held an alliance, she couldn't say they were particularly close besides the occasional meetings concerning some unpleasantries, but there wasn't much beyond that. Socialites aside, a rivalry was held, but personal mentions were rarity, from what she had remembered. Even then, if it was shared, her remaining time with her home was.. Faded, a blurr, like she couldn't particularly remember the upcoming months that led to new appearance within these lands. Naturally, she just assumed the other had been 'taken,' rather then ran away. Who would suspect the woman to flee? Such a thought didn't occur.

"New beginnings," her prideful look calmed down to a neutral smile while she shrugged with a following of a sigh. It was all that could be done, after all. The two could've simply wallowed what was lost, though Kei had found a place to call her own for the time, and Vendrussel, had been guided to a place that she felt drawn to. Even if she was the only one to try and claim so, it was perhaps a peace, to find something that belonged, when surrounded by the unknown.

"Let's explore it."

There was not much to add as silence fell momentarily. Perhaps she too had drifted away in spirit to the remnants of their home, or well, the remains they held. She did not know of the events that happened in her birth pack, nor how her friend awoke here, but she never thought to ask. Why did it matter now anyway? So, once Vendrussel came back to her, Kei would nod and wait for the other to take the lead. Once the sea-kissed woman started, she would follow quietly.
