@Tiberius
Vala was still traversing the land of pure snow and ice, it lacked color - causing her to stick out like a sore thumb. Radiant reds and golds, it all felt too… gaudy. As if she were also meant to be pure white, or maybe even gray or black. But, alas, the Crane was auburn with fringes of sandy tan.

While walking, the wind danced past - it carried the loose, top layer of snow-dust from the ground in a curled drift. Peppering the woman’s face with flakes, and as she blinked it away - a scent called out from the muddled mixture of tundra trails.

Familiarity.

Perhaps it was the white wolf, that screamed in foreign.

Another sniff, just for certainty. Vala’s ears drew back while she lowered her nose to the frozen earth. Searching to pinpoint the scent that caused such a fuss of some sort of emotion.

Did she know them? Did they know her? Perhaps she could use them, to at least regain some sense of her history.

Without much thought, once the half-faded trail was found, the Crane stalked it like a hunting cat.

She was coming.

^^He had been on edge since the faff with the intruding prick, who thought they could catch and then drag away the food that belonged to the Shiroshika. Tiberius had been patrolling more, sleeping in intervals as to wake up and actively patrol the border. He was -- he was furious, to say the least, but he knew that it could be a repeated occurrence whilst there was only one of him. There was very little on his mind aside from work, so much so that he hadn't had the time to think on the Cranes that he missed nor the Dominion that he was without. Tiberius' features were drawn, heavy with furrowed brows as his lip curled against his teeth. He needed more of a game plan than simply patrolling when he could... perhaps he should go on some form of recruiting adventure but then -- he heaved a sigh, when had he become this person?

Tiberius could recall a time where he had little to worry about aside from keeping Lana alive, maintaining his training and fucking about. He chose easily to ignore the beginnings of his life, how strained and awkward they had been for him. How... how he hadn't fit in to the way his natal pack had wanted him to. How he was the bear and they would poke him despite him vocalising to just leave him alone -- he cringed, rage swirling in his belly at the feeling of failure. He had come so far from the boy he had been, with a rare taste of failure on his tongue yet here he was, standing as a man grown and he could taste it.

He rolled his shoulders with the feeling of both rage and emptiness as he cut through the snow with purpose. What purpose? He wasn't sure, until -- he stilled, his ears standing to attention and his golden gaze narrowed considerably in thought. Crane invaded his senses and not the elegant Bird he had come to know as Izumi, no, this was the Crane blood that swarmed through the snow and Tiberius' jaw twitched as he worked it, grinding his teeth as he tried to differentiate who it belonged to exactly. He ruled out Minerva very quickly and it wasn't... it wasn't Lana. Tiberius' tongue rolled out from behind his teeth and over his lips in thought; there was only one Crane left.

Vala.

Tiberius recalled their last meeting and it still confused him. He had said he would be back, that he needed to go and calm Lana down from the spitting rage that she had gathered when faced with Vala -- who had also been the image of fury. The incident still confused him, he hadn't been aware that the two Crane's had even met enough to hate each other and then he had promised his return only to have Vala grow angrier and storm off. Was he surprised, really? Women had only ever given him goddamn fucking grief, Crane women more so. Still... the brute was curious; if she was here, she had somehow died. If that was the general consensus of awaking here, anyway -- which still baffled him -- but then was he surprised? The Crane's were a walking death wish but usually, they were the ones bleeding the life out of others.

"Vala," Tiberius called into the Tundra, voice rumbled and eyes narrowed, searching for the blacks and greys he had grown used to. His shoulders remained tense, on guard for the Crane. She was as feisty as they came and honestly, he wasn't entirely sure he had the energy to deal with her yet there was a part of him that thrummed with anticipation -- or was it excitement?

”Vala,”

The Crane’s name carried across the frozen tundra, a soft whisper as if a wolf breathed it right into her ear. The auburn maiden paused, ears erect and gaze narrowed fiercely at the horizon. The scent was one that called to her memories, and now, it called to her audibly in real time. Who was it, and how did they know one another?

A growl hitched in the wolf’s throat. Uncertainty rooting into her innards, while staring off towards the whisper’s origins. With growing amounts of haste, Vala began to pursue it. Pursue him. It wasn’t long before a figure of black starkly stood in the world of crystalline white. They were large, imposing, and a shadow in the winter.

As she neared him, Vala slowed to a stop a few yards away. Carefully, the Crane grazed his features with a roaming stare. It felt odd, similarly to looking at a reflection, which didn’t make sense - the stranger was so colorless compared to herself. Yet it was so familiar…

While watching him, Vala felt the pressure of teeth at her throat, again. As if being suffocated. The white wolf with an eye of gold.

As it faded, her tail flung up - Who the fuck are you?

^^ What he found was not Vala; not in appearance. She reeked of the Crane yet he saw a coat of reds, not greyscale and Tiberius' back went up within seconds. Beneath the scents of Vala, he couldn't find another. All he could smell was her and it baffled him. What baffled him more was the sound of her, Vala's vocals bled aggressively from the creatures throat.

He matched her energy easily, his own tail flagged, hackles raises and lip curling, "who tha fuck am I? Who tha fuck are ya?" His voice rumbled with a snarl as he kept his paws firmly planted in the snow as his golden gaze appraised the wolf before him. Everything screamed Vala aside from two things; the look of her and the fact she didn't know who he was. Which was a glaring difference given she had been fairly... possessive of him, back in the day. Both of the Cranes had been and it had caused him a fucking headache - especially when they didn't like each other.

Tiberius' brain whirled with thoughts, trying to think logically on how she smelt and sounded like Vala but wasn't... Vala. "Ya ain't Vala, tha' fer fuckin' sure," why had she come to the calling of a name that wasn't hers? Fuckin' idiot, he seethed.^^

Okay, so, this guy was fucking crazy. First he called out to her using her name, and then asked who she was? Alright, buddy. Vala allowed teeth to flash in annoyance, Crane-gold gaze staring at the stranger who smelled like memories but was psycho enough to yell at her for answering to her own name.

As the barbaric male spoke, the twang of his accent tickled the hairs of her ear, making it flick. A far-off realization of familiarity that was not yet close enough to take root. Only confusion. Anger. Impatience. WHY WAS HE MAD, HE WAS THE ONE THAT CALLED HET HERE??

I don’t know who the fuck you are. But I am Vala fucking Crane. And YOU called MY name! the annoyance was clearly written across the woman’s features, and overwhelmingly leaked from her tone.

The Crane marched up to him. - she had nothing to lose, right? Her memories were gone and she traveled alone. It’s not like she would be leaving anything behind - the smaller statured wolf shoved her nose into his own, an unstoppable fury burned within golden eyes. Eyes that she also took from her previous life. listen. I don’t know who the fuck you are. Or where the hell we’re at. But I am Vala Crane. I woke up under some fucking snow, and I tracked you because you smelled… like I remembered it. I get here, and you have the fucking gull to say MY name, then tell me it isn’t mine. Take that psycho-ass energy somewhere else. No one will take MY name from me. Especially not someone like you.

The unmistakable fury of a Crane unfolded before him and Tiberius couldn't help but heave a sigh. Coupled with the bitch marching up to him, attempting to shove her face into his and going on a tirade -- yeah, certainly a fucking Crane. Yet she was furiously adamant that she was in fact Vala and he eyed her, uncaring for her fury as he observed the girl as she stood before him.

It was the eyes that struck him. Very Crane-like in their colour but the particular shade was all Vala. "Fuckin' calm ya shit, ya mental case," Tiberius grouched, huffing in her face for extra amusement. She spoke of remembering his smell but she didn't seemingly remember him -- fuck, if this was Vala, how the fuck was she red? Red wasn't a Crane trait. The attitude was, though. "Ya certainly got tha fuckin' attitude of a Crane, luv," he mused, golden gaze roving over her unabashedly.

Far different from the women he was now used to. Reiko was ethereal in her snowy-white fur and Izumi -- well, she was elegantly pale and masked. Even Reiko's daughter shared her colouring. "'M names Tiberius," he doubted his name alone would jerk her wandered memory but hey, worth a shot, right? Or... maybe not, since they had parted with her storming off without telling him the fuck he had done. He hummed, maybe he shouldn't work to jog her memory. Wickedly he smirked, peering down at her. How un-Crane like, being so little.

He was used to Vala's hopped up nature, though he still couldn't understand why she looked so... different and why she didn't remember him. Had she died and just... come back different, in these lands? "Ya ain't lookin' like ya used ta," he observed casually, watching to see if she would react. She probably wasn't going to appreciate that he had breezed past her temper,  but he was used to jumped up Crane's, especially between Lana and Vala, so you could say he was a pro at letting their temper bounce off of him. To a degree, of course. ^^

You could practically see the angry, heated fumes from the woman in the cold of the tundra. Her glare unchanging as the man began to speak casually, as if she hadn’t been close to sinking teeth into his face. It was foolish for him to feel so comfortable, enough so to huff directly at her.

Vala felt her toes curl, a low growl boiling within the depths of her throat. This guy was a fucking asshole, acting like he was untouchable. And his off handed comment made him sound like a goddamn expert in her family tree - oh fuck, was he a Crane, too? Is that why he acted so pompous and knew her name? The stupid fuck.

Vala nearly asked - until he spoke his name. Tiberius. Her ears pressed forward, as a step back was taken. She knew his name, for some reason. It was… familiar in a way. But as she tried to recall it, it was the same memory. A tight force around her neck, squeezing the life from her. A white demon, with one golden eye.

He laughed. He growled. He attacked her - he… he raped her, too.. hadn’t he? Left her to die on the ground of that bleak ass forest. And then she woke up, in the snow.

Was she saved, cared for, and transported? Fuck, was she dead? Did that fucking nut case kill her and now her eternal hell is a snowy wasteland with other Crane wolves??

It was the last comment, that caused Vala’s attention to snap back to him. She didn’t look like she used to. She was dead, then? Dead and… different looking, for some reason? Is that why he looked familiar, because if he was a Crane, was she meant to look like him? A dark, giant shadow.

Vala sat down. Unspeaking. Her eyes closing as she growled quietly to herself. Angry she had been weak enough to die, angry that the damned bastard had fucked and killed her, who that fuck did that one eyes prick think he was?

Who… was he. White. One eyed. Lived in that forest. Other’s surrounded him, as if they knew him well. Dark wolves, all ages. A…pack? Their name… she knew them. Knew their title. But why…

The Dominion.

Vala shot to her feet, puffed like a startled cat and snarling with her teeth fully flashed. But not towards Tiberius - just in general, at the memory, at the man that ended her. Who was the wolf and who was the Dominion, and why had they decided to take her life anyway?

”That no good piece useless shit,” she hissed between clenched teeth. ”He fucking forced himself on me and fucking killed me,” she was tainted. Tainted by her Virgin body holding an intruder and tainted by her blood being spilled by him. ”Who the FUCK are the Dominion,” Vala snarled into the face of the man this time, as if somehow, he would even know. It was one of them that had done it to her - but who even were they? Why did she know the name?

^^

He had a headache.

Tiberius was sure it was just the Crane women who gave him one. Fiery fucks, he mused, as he watched her practically melt the snow from the inner rage that was radiating off her body. How ironic she was now red, because he thought her skin would be as blazing as that with blotchy blood of fury. He had done fuck all, really, but Tiberius was used to this so he let her have her moment, where he simply watched her and resisted the yawn that dared to touch his lips. Come on, Vala, get there quicker. Though he supposed he should be a bit more sympathetic, she had seemingly died and lost the majority of her memory, as well as her actual fucking appearance. It was... worth his silence, at least.

She sat, like a good girl, and apparently was in deep thought as he watched her facial expressions. They were... so Vala and not Vala at the same time. Tiberius found himself oddly missing the black and greys she had been painted in before, feeling like the girl before him was a stranger and family all at once. He knew better than to comment on a womans appearance, though, and found himself biting his tongue to the playful, dickish comment he wanted to make -- she was evidently going through enough for the moment.

It was sudden, her movements, as she jumped to her paws with a new found rage. It wasn't aimed at him, he was certain because fuck, he hadn't said anything! He eyed her, watching as she snarled and puffed up with fury. What came next wasn't entirely expected, because despite Vala having vanished on him -- he had considered her his, alongside Lana. The same as anyone that he finds himself taking under his wing or growing fond of; they were automatically his and in doing so, they had his protection. Yet... she had been without him and had someone force themselves upon her and subsequently, kill her. Tiberius felt it, it was ugly and full of rage. It bubbled, stirred and waged a war in his chest as he flexed his paws in the snow; who the fuck ---

The Dominion? He frowned, lip curling over his tooth as he watched her. "Was our 'ome," he rumbled, "was our family, luv." She remembered some, it seemed. "Ya ain't tellin' me it was one of tha Dominions who..." he took a second as his voice started to vibrate with a growl, "caused ya ta end up 'ere," no one in the Dominion would hurt their own in such a way. He wanted to step up to her, to run his nose through her fur as if to rub off anyone else and rub away death but he remained where he stood. He had heard tales of wolves who had been taken advantage of and how they could not stand anyones touch for a while after.

If this happened to Vala, had it happened to Lana, too? Fuck. His friend stood before him, freshly alive after being brutalised and killed. Tiberius wondered then if he could drag her back to Shiroshika, have Reiko take a look at her and see if there were any bits of evidence of Vala's trauma and if there were, Reiko would surely know how to treat it. Treat her. His protective instincts itched for him to take control, to tell her she was coming the fuck with him and she had no choice but this was a Crane and notoriously, they'd ride out their fury before they did anything else.

Vala would get over whatever the fuck she had been angry at him for before and come home with him -- they'd be a family again. Then she'd get over whatever shit she had with Lana because Lana was family too -- he wondered if anyone else of the Dominion would end up here, alongside them. Though if what Vala said was true and it was one of the Dominion, he'd rather them stay far, far away. "Ya need somewhere ta stay, doll?" he rumbled, edging his plan to bring her to Reiko. ^^
