Vendrussel moved on ; so unfamiliar and yet she felt at a true home within her own body. Though thought to be in Mayadias's grasp [dragon reaper], she came out of the water as a dragon of renewal. Younger, stronger, blessed in the ways that despite not achieving what her wolves for ages had sought to, an enlightment from the ancients - here she was.

Though yet the land was not the territory she was so used to, disgraced in the sands of forever, there was not an ounce of moisture to be told. An aquatic body, a water and ice dragon of the shores, she was unfamiliar with seeing only but sands of time, and nothing of the cerulean variety. Creatures that were an oddity to what her homeland have ; native to the dunes that she did not know. Such a curiosity and fascination, but alas, she should not waste time, and find the familiar body of waters.

Thirsty and desperate, the smell of sea-salt still clung to her pelt from the previous arrival, though slowly started to fade. A crown that had fallen over as well, she was without bodies to call her own, nor' companions to the flock. What was a dragon without their people? She will return, with the new body granted by the ancients ; an exclusion from their purpose.. Vendrussel reached an enlightment.

Though now desperate, a border unchecked, passing by their smells and fragrances, she sought out the body of water that they claimed.

From light - to darkness - the man felt a warmth around him... and wet. Was he being reborn? Was this the feeling of a womb and he, a mere child conscious of it all? He moved, stretching out the limbs to test out his new body and cavern he found himself in shifted painfully.

Whatever he was in felt constricting, uncomfortable - and he wanted out. With no give to tell him escape was imminent, all he could feel was the prison growing smaller, and he, more restless.

As the place he found himself in grew smaller and smaller, the need for air growing more desperate in his lungs as none could be found around him - the man began to push and claw with limbs he found abnormally large for what he believed to be a child. As the prison fought back with enough intensity to suffocate the already barren lungs - he fought back with tooth and nail. Bitting and pushing until finally he burst out with a gasp of air. Sloppy confetti on blood and guts falling around him as the bloody explosion of his entrance left only one standing in its gory glory.

Finding blood on his tongue, blinding light in his eyes as they blinked away the crimson liquid staining his coat and body. Behind him, a fresh carcass of a camel. Carved from the inside out were he pulled his last leg out from with casual smoothness. With a glare he found the woman in the water, she was gorgeous - and a wolf, and he... was confused.

“Am I a camel?” He said with absolute seriousness. Blackened tongue licking the slime away from his lips as he approached the woman and the water.

No one had stopped her fruitful desires, dipping within the luxury of deep blues in the comfort of a hot desert. Her head dipped in pleasure, body dipping deep into the fresh water that was so unlike the saltiness she usually would swim in - her fur gliding between as she ruptured through the surface, clean and hydrated ; though no one approaching her about the obvious territory breaching. She was fully prepared to ask forgiveness in a dire situation of a loon wolf who didn't know where they were in particular, nor' anywhere familiar. Strangely enough, it didn't smell similar to wolf, but Vendrussel was unfamiliar of others forming a large group within a claimed territory.

A ocean gaze toward the group of camels she passed by in a desperation of thirst - they were.. Odd. Born to the cold coastline and icy norths, such beings would never exist within that dread of north. Large and toed like the ox or elk that claim to its snowy plains, they were so skinny, and.. Hunched, her paw swished over the damp fur that drenched over her eyes and looked toward them with such a puzzlement, that an almost audible sound came through - yet..

White as arctic, a man erupted from one as if it was a birth ; but far more poorly and like some sort of leech from a bug. Her face visibly contorted in a mixture of what could only be described as horror, disgust, and wariness. A grown wolf approaching from the creature, born to be into this world a bustling booming man, and with all the seriousness he had asked of her, 'am I a camel?'

"..Yes."

He stepped and his toes squished against the sands until they soaked up the gore that dripped from them and the rest of his body. Soon enough he could feel the warmth of the sun baking his back and no longer the comforting warmth of the creature he came out of, but the uncomfortable pain of burning heat. Looking back to the carcass left behind of his re-birth, a look of forlorn painted his broad face as he almost wished to return if it wasn't so suffocating just moments ago.

Steps stopped as she answered to his question with a positive. He was a camel? Quirking a brow, he looked around. To his ass, to his paws and wiggled his red-stained toes. It was almost as if he was putting the pieces together that she was lying and he wasn't what he thought he was since he looked nothing like the dromedary he came out of. Eyes wandered back to the woman with a flat stare, and an equally flat tone to match.

“I don't know how to be a camel.” Defeated, he looked away in shame for the realization. “I am a failure.” Stretching out his neck to the sky, feeling the sun's warmth against his face, he frowned as bi-coloured eyes closed.

The situation itself was an oddity - she never seen someone simply emerge from another as a full-grown wolf. It was hard to muster what she could exactly feel about the situation, much less one who asked if he was a camel (with a species she did not know), and saying he was to be a failure. She had to take a deep breathe, inhaling the beauty of what smelled like the fresh water lake, an oasis to those not familiar with these dunes.

She had to take a stride ; different times now, different.. Experiences. Surely the ancients knew what to expect from her, she wouldn't simply be blown away by a monstrosity now born from a camel, so he calls it, "Maybe you are half." She squinted, eyeing the camels who remained alive and were clearly spooked at what had happened, and startled enough they yet to move from their location. Brown as they were, he was white and fully of canine..

"Its okay, you can learn, probably."

Vendrussel still didn't really understand a camel

Honestly he didn't know what a camel was either. It was simply the name that came to mind when he saw the beast on the ground and it simply slipped out as "that is a camel, I came from that - there for, I am camel." Which was his logic.

As the blood and gore dried on his back, he could feel it clinging to his fur and skin. Cracking at the joints and making his limbs and tail feel only mildly stiffer than usual. He hated it. The woman was bathing and it seemed like a brilliant idea. Get this gunk off of him and feel free once more.

“In time I will be the perfect camel.” Oddly agreeing to her suggestion that he would learn in time. It only seemed fair since he remembered nothing from a time before this very moment. As if it was nothing weird at all, the nameless man wandered closer to the water. Pushing past as he entered too to bathe away the sickly res stains.

He sat unmoving at first. Feeling the refreshing cool touch of water seep through his fur and onto his skin. Turning his glazed look over to the woman. “Is it working?” The man assumed she knew exactly what he meant.

Was the new world going to always be this.. Strange? A grown ass man retreating outside of a camel in all bloody glory, white as the snow peaks itself, but drenched in the blood of a camel. She would've thought maybe he was sleeping in there if it not were the factor there was no indication until the man had visually, appeared out like a newborn fawn ; even he seemed confused, not sure whether to be that of a wolf, or a camel to be.

A half-ling, of sorts. Vendrussel heard of beings such like those ; its even the belief that her own family was like them as well, but instead of the camel variety, they came from the ancestral dragons itself. Unknowingly though, she couldn't even think of what her family name was. They were like faded memories she had yet to realize was gone, and did not think of missing pieces that was absent from her mind. She was far too concentrated on the man-made camel.

She honestly couldn't help but utter a smile and shake her head, now more or less without the due blood, "You look like a wolf, it doesn't seem to be in your blood to be like them." She glanced at those behind them, now retreating away after the mess that was spilled and the large being finally drifting away from their herd. They seemed similar to elk in a strange way, just humped.. She treated them like the ungulates until otherwise.

And this man definitely wasn't hooved.

"It's time to accept it."

There he soaked in the water up to his neck. Purposely lowering himself just enough so it may reach up his back and just below his chin. Slowly he lowered further into the water until completely submerged, all the way to the tips of his ears and there he sat for a while as the woman pondered her own reality.

For Aarkron... he didn't think much of it. At first there was nothing, now he was here. Escaped the suffocating insides of that 'camel' he somehow knew the name of on a whim. Now he simply focussed on getting clean, from one thing to the next he didn't let the trivial questions of how or why bother him all too much. He came from the beast but he didn't feel like one of them even if the woman said he was.

Holding his breath all the while underwater, he began to suffocate again. Bubbles escaping his nose until finally he came out again to take a breath at the surface. Already he felt cleaner than before, the whites of his face coming out better than they were as the slime washed away into the pool.

“Wolf.” He caught her words just on time as water dripped from his forehead down his chin. “I feel more like a wolf, yes.” With a nod he agreed. It felt definitely right. It was easily accepted. His hardened gaze fell on her once more, brows furrowing as he focused on the woman. We are wolves.” He said as if it was just a revelation to them both. “As wolves we stick together. Hunt as one unit for survival.” And a decision was made regardless if she wanted it or not. He would follow her until she could no longer be found - for they were wolves, alone they were nothing. Together they were everything.

This man was a freak.

She knew internally that was not a pleasant name to call him - but who could deny the dragon when the man of white bursted from a camel like a parasite, and was on an inner turmoil if he was either a camel, or a wolf. Everything about him said wolf, to the fur he held, the claws she could see, his pearly whites and great tail, yet, he came from a camel. She couldn't exactly say he was birthed, as he was a grown man, but.. In a way?

"A wolf halfling?" When he confirmed himself as one she couldn't help but pipe up once more despite claiming he was most likely a wolf in appearance, but his origin suggested otherwise. Vendrussel dubbed him as that so, some sort of odd halfling of the desert. Quite an odd place, no wonder the wolves of her kind did seek her, and the ancients settled elsewhere. It was far too hot, and little water or greenery to be seen.. It was like a hell, without being in it or the little demons torturing one, here it felt you were your own enemy, mixed between the hot days and the cold, shivering nights.

At the moment Vendrussel didn't know what he decided, but she removed herself out of the water, "Wolves are together in a pack, but some roam. What does that make you, a loner, or someone who seeks others?" Camel-man could also be in a herd, but she wouldn't say that, not that he settled upon his wolf-self.

A wolf halfling? He could deal with that. He was wolf but more than just that. Birthed from a desert moose horse as a fully grown adult wolf, he was much more than just the average canid. Was it camel or something else? The nameless man had a lifetime to figure it out he supposed, now that he was here.

“As wolves we are better in a group.” That was his answer. Something he believed was logical enough that was hard to refute. “Do you have a pack?” Was she already settled with a group or we they starting something here between them (platonically of course)? The faded scent of a group lingered around the water source, was this her home and he had somehow trojan horsed his way through the borders?

“What's your name?” He said not realizing he didn't offer his own first - nor that he had one in mind of what to call himself. In fact, his mind was completely blank on who he was, who he is. All he wanted was to know who she was, who he would be following to keep themselves safer as a group.

She nodded in an agreement, a settling on the being in a unite instead of.. The current aloneness. She didn't know her predicament, as though moments before she remembered her fatal crash to the ocean, it was now a blurr in memories, and became a mystery. Though at heart, she knew that the woman of ice and water, was at the homelands no more. May the ancients guide her so, for if she doesn't find what was once lost, may she find something familiarity. So, she shook her head, "I was."

"I'm Vendrussel - do you have a name despite your mama being.. Uh, dead." An ocean looked back toward the camel, its stomach split open like a horror movie; just where the man emerged. No animal would survive from a parasitical bursting like that.

At the moment she didn't realize she doesn't remember her family name as well.

“You will be again.” Was he being oddly optimistic or just weird about it all? Already claiming to be a part of this woman's life without knowing anything about her other than the fact she too was a wolf and that, as he said multiple times, must stick together.

“I —” Well here was a problem. Alabaster brows furrowed as he pondered, racking his new re-birthed brain to figure out a name that was his. His name, not some made up garbage. “Hmm.” A grunt. Frustrated that it didn't come as easily to him as it did for her.

“I don't have one.” A flat tone crawled away from his lips as he admitted the absolute emptiness that came from his long pondering. “Vendrussel you may call me Wolf for now. It's simple, I will figure something out in time.” Wolf, it was nothing that would be taken as personal. Something he knew he would not get attached to in time neither until the day a name could be remembered.

Whenever that is.

Vendrussel though didn't understand his meaning and simply just shrugged, "probably." It was simple fact she would be entertwined with others, as destiny always foretold by the dragons, those who stand together are far more stronger then alone. Not to mention as she had not successfully gone through the path, it was her ultimate desire to find a trusted companion. The sweet desire to gain the wings that was lost through time.. Oh the dream- but more important moments were to be addressed then the wishes of dreams.

"Wolf? Don't have an idea of a.. Better name?" The woman couldn't help but judge her simply called himself 'wolf.' He could've chosen anything better, and even she could attempt to give him anything better! Yet the halfling chose something so simple.

“Wolf will do for now.” He reassured, even if it was awkward and strange - he would figure out his name in time, and he was certain he would eventually. It simply evaded him for now. Honestly he couldn't even think of something fake in this moment, to think of something on the spot and spontaneous. The man was simply not that creative, and his memories still rather fuzzy.

“Is this where you live Vendrussel? Should we solidify the borders?” There was that faint smell of canid around but it wasn't quite the same thing as he smelled from her at this distance. Assuming as he saw her here completely undisturbed that this was her home. It was good enough, they could see the whole oasis from almost every angle. Low shrubs and trees provided some shelter from the daytime sun and heat - water was the obvious choice for hydration and certainly would bring prey from all around.

She couldn't deny the man further of his chosen name, despite the skeptism she gave on chosen route, "OK.. So be it, Wolf." She only wished he chose something better, if someone didn't have a name, they had all the world to think of something ; and she simply couldn't understand the simplicity of but that one. Then again, her name was Vendrussel, a rather unusual name to the outsiders of the non-dragons land.

"Do I look like I belong in the desert?" She laughed jokingly with a paw over her chest, a looking to her rather gray-blue features and eyes akin to the clear ocean. She could faintly smell like seaweed, though diminishing as it was, it was so faint, not many would notice. The woman of the northern seas saw the creatures that roamed these lands, they were often warm in colors, sandy like the floor they touch, and at times, hint of browns. Even the man before her, birthed from a camel itself, was someone who looked he hailed from the icy mountains.

"I don't own land here, or anywhere, I think."

And that conversation was done. A simple name for a simple man and there was nothing else to it. He couldn't be bothered with pandering something more creative as they had other matters to deal with - names were such frivolous things in the end anyway, at least according to him. She could shout randomly and he might seek her out anyway as if called.

Her joke went mostly unnoticed - unappreciated but not for the same reasons one would roll their eyes. He simply didn't catch on. “I suppose not?” At least he agreed with her. There had to be a reason for her outburst. From where he was and still smelling the blood fro the beast he came out of, he couldn't really differentiate her smell from anything else around here. Maybe later he could take note.

“Then where will we go to settle? We must find a land to claim. One rich in resources and we will destroy all who try and take what will be ours.” Okay you can chill out. The man's tone was level and so was his expression despite the chosen words that would come off as harsh to many. It seems there were some old habits here that he hadn't quite shaken off yet, some sort of ferocity despite his placid demeanour.

"I belong to the icy waters of the north ; not this desert of heat and endless sand." Though as interesting as it was, Vendrussel could not find herself living in a place with such limited water-source. Though she was used to beaches, there was also the land of stone and grass, the comfort of soil beneath her paws. She could not find any there, sometimes her blues sinking into the wasteland of an endless sandbox. Though at the moment wet from the oasis, she did not desire to take form in a land where this was possibly the very few, water sources around.

"Though i'm curious on what more is to this land." She confessed, not being in a particular rush to find some sort of area to 'claim.' The thought didn't really rise the mind, the water woman didn't even know if she desired to take the reigns of such force, and if anything, could she find her home? Though would she want to return..

To survive and adapt, so was taught.
