Anyone, and @"Thalia" please enter if you're free

The mountain itself was quiet at this time of night. The sun had long passed the horizon. The chill might have threatened most, but the proud northerner hardly flinched. Her thick coat protected from such common-place hardship.
The fire sister had returned with a prize indeed. A young caribou calf had been killed by her work alone, and she had proudly dragged most of it back to her brothers and their odd little band of mishaps. It was a small kill she brought, but far larger than that of a common hare or lemming. What had been pulled from the young creature was merely the liver and part of the intestine, which the sister had savoured herself.
Valmúa howled to her unfaithful commune, having pulled the young creature up the mountain for little reason apart from a vague sense of loyalty.
The mountain called back to her in its own way, for her brothers had named it well despite their ineptitude. A raven called. She half-barked back.

Kuhn, preoccupied with exploring the region, hunting, and laying out his territory, had a great chance to take in the landscape.  He figured he would have to know everything from the mountains to the south, all the way up to whatever this place was.  A massive mountain that almost seemed out of place here, over the rather flat landscape, an absolute fortress dominated the skyline.  Most of the time the clouds obscured most of its apex.  The cat momentarily mused at the possibility of climbing it.

Padding along carelessly, humming something to himself, his ears perked up and his nose contorted, detecting fresh drag marks, and the scent of blood. His lumbering stride became a trot as he made good speed in the direction of the drag marks.   Maybe he could score a free meal.

Following the trail for a couple of minutes, Kuhn climbed on final berm to be face to face with a cinnamon colored wolf.  His face was already giving away a look of disappointment.

After the awkward invitation to walk within the mountain's borders, Thalia wandered freely in and out of the territory while mostly keeping to herself. She didn't mark the lands willingly other than what was necessary as bodily functions or the pads on her toes doing so against her will - but never the less, her scent was becoming more one with the mountain dwellers the longer she was here regardless of what she wanted. Every now and then she would be away longer than a day or two - but eventually she would return.

This time as she came back to the mountain, wandering up its ledges and through the snow... a scent caught her attention which made every hair along her spine stand on edge. Demon cat. It wasn't the same as the one she had met here upon her awakening, but the scent was similar enough she contemplated on turning tail and leaving the mountain wolves to deal with it themselves.

And yet curiosity kept her walking forward. Following its scent until the russet female who had warned Thalia about the men became the obvious (or so what she thought) target for the large feline. Thankfully it didn't luge, and the autumn coloured woman thought about leaving as it was none of her business.... but the woman was well, had done her a favour before. It was about time she would do the same.“Hey!” She barked at the two, attempting to gain both their attentions. “The hell do you want demon cat?” With her eyes focused on the striped bastard, she hoped the female would catch what she was doing now.

The scent of something distinct and feline immediately raised the hairs along her neck. She had expected wolverines and ravens to have followed her. The latter had, knowing well that Hrafnsvaktin was home to those birds who sought haven from the elements alongside their lupine brothers and sisters. Valmúa herself had always held a vague disdain of the black birds. They did little more than thieve parts of her kills and call attention to them for other predators, case in fucking point. They were supposed to be sacred. To her, they were merely a nuisance, and noisy to boot.
When the animal revealed itself, her heart beat into her throat. She had never seen anything like whatever this beast was. She knew only vaguely of catamounts from venturing across the Canadian wilds. An orange one with stripes was wild and foreign and disturbingly monstrous to her.
"Hey!" The fire woman turned to look at the noise.
The dragon. You snarky, fantastic bitch. Valmúa turned back to the cat and boldly stepped over the kill she had been dragging. She raised her tail and barked, though the trembling in her feet told of her inexperience with these predators. “You think you can just waltz onto this place following me?!” It was 1000% percent a bluff. The poppy girl was tired from the hunt and the haul, and had no interest in fighting with something so large and... orange.

Demon cat...  He had already been called many different things in his time here. So rude... The cat took a second in the awkward situation, twitching an ear.  He recognized one of them, it was the same wolf, the one that the female of his kind was harassing.  Kuhn, looking slightly more amused now, licked his chops.  He wouldn't blame her at least for the rude welcome.  "...Demon", He spoke softly

Kuhn turned to the cinnamon colored wolf, with a devious smile, showing his massive fangs.  "Relax... I can waltz wherever I want" With that the massive cat took a graceful step forward, sauntering closer to Valuma and her kill, until he would be face to face with her, he placed a massive paw down on the corpse slowly digging his claws into the carcass.  Maintaing eye contact with the new wolf,  he made no sudden moves, keeping his smile, and tracking the other wolf from the corner of his eye; while flicking his tail back and forth in amusement.

Oh how she didn't want to deal with this thing. Not even one damn bit. The amused look it tossed her way while licking his lips - man that was enough to send shivers down her spine thinking how it would just eat her up whole, vore style. Wrinkling her nose at the thought, she stared him down from down the barrel of her snout.

The hell could she do here to help out in any way? Fuck, why did this bitch have to warn her about the men earlier, had it not been for that Thalia would have been more than capable of just nope-ing out of here without a second thought. Yet now she felt obliged to return the favour in some way.

Well, it was now or never. Swallowing her fears about those teeth and those claws she had narrowly avoided with the last feline she had come across - as the large cat moved toward the carcass Thalia made her own move. Barking up a storm, frothing at the mouth and letting saliva spew with every faux bite and false lunge she did toward the feline's rear, careful to try and nip and bounce away quickly.

If she could set off the alarms of the other pack mates of this poppy coloured woman, then it would be wonderful. Otherwise, maybe she can spook the cat off with the threat of reinforcements arriving to check out all the ruckus she was making. There was no way she could take this cat on by herself, but at least she was less tired looking than the other female. Maybe she had a better chance at outrunning this thing should it chose to go after her for nipping at its heels.

As the animal drew ever closer, the banding and pattern of its body sent strange, foreign alarm bells ringing through her very skin. Shivers came to her despite her training as a fearless warrior. She was rarely placed in a position of having to weigh backing down or not, for she was always in for a good fight with a beast of her own size or even greater. Being a she-wolf, she was hardly the largest of her species. This thing though, whatever it was and whatever its intention, instincts told her to back the fuck off.
As Thalia began making a ruckus, so too did Valmúa. For the moment they were sisters in arms, harshly snarling and barking at the great beast that so boldly strode into their turf and toward her hard earned meal. She had already howled. Surely their pack mates were on the way. Surely they would defend a kill on their lands against this brazen creature of hellfire. While the cat made eye contact, Valmúa held her own, staring down the great cat while it claimed herkill, not even realizing that she had backed up to preserve her own fucking skin.
She broke eye contact to do as Thalia did, to swing about and run to the animal's other side, snapping angrily at its ankles as though it were an ill caribou, retreating as she did so. They would run the fucking beast down and kill it if they needed to. The fire sister would not accept such a steal.

This had gone to far, these mutts where nipping at his heels.  They then began their obnoxious yowling, which he did not understand. Kuhn pressed his ears back now looking more frustrated.  This needs to stop...  The Cat coiled up his back, once again baring his teeth as the aggression aimed at him continued.  Uncoiling his spine the cat sprang into the air twisting around mid flight, what once was his exposed heels here now his paws barring down on Thalia.  Instinctively, his paws found their target, only using enough claw to get a good grip. His instincts further dictated that his jaws would meet his target in one swift motion finding the base of the skull, finding his mark near the back of the poor girls head.

But, rather than following through with action, the cat opted to bite down on the scruff oh her neck with his front teeth, pinching her loose hide with an affirmative nip. The beast used his new found grip to pivot the she wolf in between himself and the furious cinnamon colored wolf; as a sort of body shield.  Releasing his grip on her neck, the cat swapped it out for a paw to the side of the neck, pinning her to the ground under his massive weight, his claws pressing against her skin, threatening to punch through.

"I... I think... we have a misunderstanding." Spoke the demon, hiding a bit of tremor in his voice, a mix of excitement and shame or sadness. It was obvious he was holding back some sort of lump in his throat.  He didn't look proud either, his ears rather than tucked where drooping.  "Its your kill... not mine"

The other woman joined in on sounding the alarms. Barking up a storm and trying to get the feline to flee at the very least before the others would come - instead, it only grew furious. Oh good. The flash of teeth only stopped her furious barking for a moment as she briefly pondered her situation, but to hell with it. They were already up shit creek without a paddle.

And that shit only got thicker.

In a blink of an eye she found herself underneath the hell lion with claws threatening the skin along her back. She saw her life flash before her eyes, preparing for the final end. She grew still and quiet, watching the... well... okay her life here was short and all other years were lost to the memories that were stolen from her during the re-awakening, the "rebirth" here in these strange new lands.

So it only took a couple of seconds to flash by.

And that was sad.

Pretty pathetic really, she had to admit.

It spoke and she had nothing to say other than the soft growling in defiance the to the situation she found herself in - shit she was afraid to say anything really should her short life here be cut to an abrupt end. So it was all up to the other bitch to deal with the diplomacy here.

The racket drew him like a bullet from a gun, a gilded terror flying onto the scene to join the twin fire-pelts in threatening the terror. He had never seen a creature like this before and on another day, he might have cared. Today, he could not have cared less. Valmúa was not, and had never been, a wolf to call for help. Pair that with the little dragon's baying, and Stjörnuáti was akin to a bolt of Thor's thunder, arriving with a snarl, hackles like blades rifling along his spine. Murder shone in his eyes at the sight of the draconian woman beneath the feline, a bellow announcing his intent, and warning the cat away from what was his. His family. His pack.

Teeth flashed in a bid to score across orange and black flesh, chomping at anything and everything available to him. Once he caught hole, if he caught hold, Stjörnuáti would be hard pressed to let go.

In an instant, the creature had taken hold of the dragon. Within these moments, Valmúa proved almost useless, for the feline's maneuverability was not diminished just because of its sheer size. Its muscles hulked and twisted. The sister snapped and practically frothed at the mouth, trying to frighten the beast into submission until Thalia was pinned.
Valmúa stopped abruptly, heart freezing in her chest as the cold mountain wind whipped past her. They could not win this fight, and no successful hunt was worth losing a wolf to a monster. Her teeth were still showing nastily, but she did not move.
“I will trad—” And then Stjor barrelled his way in. Hættu! She cried. “TAKE THE FUCKING CALF!!” It was a plea to the demon's better angels: no more, and no less.

The beast stood only for a moment, breathing heavily, his massive chest expanding and contracting with each gruff exhale, reverberating to wolf beneath his paw. His breath clouding in the brisk breeze that flowed across the hilltop. His face was still half contorted and wrinkled, showing the lower half of his teeth apprehensively. Kuhn slowly let off the pressure from the woman's neck sparing her the weight and claws, yet not loosing contact as his face partially relaxed.  "I don't want your ki-"

And in the next moment his breath was cut short as he was hit at full speed in the side from a ball of pure rage and fury, knocking the wind from his lungs. A set of canine teeth found their way into the loose skin of his neck punching into his hide beneath his mane. The momentum was to much even for the massive feline.  The attacker's reckless attack made Kuhn hit the ground rolling out onto his side with the wolf still attached. Keeping the momentum the feline kept the roll, roaring and twisting into his attacker, not managing to get much of a grip himself besides a raking clawfull of skin and fur.  The initial momentum proved to be enough to keep the two rolling for another half rotation. Kuhn was busy thrashing in pain, trying to find his own mark, until he felt it, the cool breeze at his back; there was no footing

The last half rotation has sent the pair of thrashing carnivores off the side of the steep berm that lofted the large hill. The initial drop was more unlucky for the wolf as the impact to the stones below knocked loose his grip on the tiger's hide. Nonetheless the massive cat hit the ground just as hard, knocking more air from his lungs as he and the wolf bounced into their next tumbling rotation. Now separated they bounced and tumbled down the hill, struggling to regain footing as they where both equally battered by the blunt force of their momentum.

Eventually, for what seemed like an eternity, it came to an end in a flat bank of snow. After an indefinite daze, the two began to stagger to their feet, the others could see from far up the bank above.
Kuhn took a half delirious step forward, his crimson blood dripping a few times into the white snow beneath their feet from the gash that he had earned from this wolf.  The cat only stood there postured, finally getting a good look at the white and gold wolf.

With her position face down in the snow, all she could do was growl and seek out the gaze of the poppy woman as she silently beckoned her to do something about this thing on her back. Thalia had no other choice but to trust the other woman to do what she could to save the autumn woman's life. Like come on, she risked her own skin here to help protect that kill of hers - not letting her get mauled by some Freddy Kruger fingered cat was the least this woman could do!

The two spoke calmly for brief moment and Thalia could have sworn everything was going to turn out okay. She could have guessed what either of them wanted to say before getting cut off and a face of terror immediately found its way to her features hearing what the hell was going on above. The scream, the roar, the growls - someone had come by to instigate the cat further into battle and a sweet sweet moment of acceptance flooded her features as she basically accepted death in this moment.

And as the weight on her shoulders lifted, she remained still just a little while longer. Truly believing she had died and that was the only reason why she felt the lightness upon her body so suddenly. Eventually the realization came that she was indeed still living, the heart beating in her chest was evident as Thalia eventually found her way to her feet again. Immediately she sought the feline wherever it had went, following the disturbed snow down to where the feline and wolf had tumbled down to.

Frankly, she had no interest in thrusting herself back into the fray here, and so she glanced at the poppy woman to see what she would do. If she decided to go down and follow the feline to help the male out - then Thalia would too she supposed.... if she had fingers to crossed she hoped they would remain right here.

The give of flesh as his teeth sank in was sublime, invigorating even as his body made contact and collided with the massive creature. They flew over the little dragon, and past the poppy, only to barrel down the snowy banks of the mountain. His grip held, no doubt tearing at whatever skin he had caught. Vaguely, he felt the fire of a wound carved into his own body, though Stjornuati cared little. It would be the wound of a warrior, and the first of his blood strewn across Hrafnsvaktin’s slopes. There would be more, surely, but today would be the cornerstone. He would spill blood, others’ and his own, for his pack. His family.

They rolled to a stop and for one, dizzying moment, Stjornuati could not tell which way was up It didn’t stop him from staggering to his feet, however, and letting loose a terrible, guttural snarl. Blood-marked fur bristled and stood along his body, a single, menacing step forward taken towards the hellcat, further placing himself between it and the women. The stareater had no qualms continuing this fight, sure that the cries of Valmua and the dragon would rally the others to their cause.

Her pleas and cries hung without answer in the mountain air as her brother rolled with the demon in a strange ball of aggression and furious tangling. They rolled down the hill beyond the scope of her vision, but Valmúa did not follow them, instead rushing to Thalia's side to make sure she wasn't dead.
In fact, the woman appeared entirely uninjured, which seemed a miracle. It had seemed that for a moment, the cat might even have intended to release her without a fight. Despite her adrenaline, there had been no malice in his voice. Now, her brother might fight for his very life because of a brazen reaction that could have killed Thalia. Anger boiled in her veins as she looked over the hill to find Stjörnuáti still fighting with the cat.
Valmúa had never feared to engage in a fight, but this animal was far stronger than what they could handle. She did not know its intentions, but she knew only that Thalia was unharmed. So in a split second decision, she charged down the hillside, screaming LÁTTU HANN FARA! It was not clear if she meant for Stjor to let the cat go, or for the cat to let her brother go. She did not intervene in the fight, instead standing with tail raised dramatically in a fierce snarl, hoping that intimidation alone would ward the creature away.
Valmúa was a terrible person. She did have values, however. Tit for tat was one of them, and the tiger had not harmed Thalia when he had the opportunity to.

The striped demon didn't dare turn his back, nor did he take a step forward. The world seemed so silent now, even the wind had seemingly stopped to view what was about to transpire. Kuhn's eyes had a ceartian glossyness to them, filled with an icy malice that he lacked before.

"Walk away, dog... I hate the taste of your kind, it would be a shame to let your flesh go to waste."

Only a moment later, the cinnamon colored wolf came barrelling down the hill, snarling and screaming in some threatening gibberish. This did cause the cat to take a step back, his hackles now raised. Kuhn returned a threatening roar that churned amongst the treeline below, causing the ravens to move from their roost, as the demon loaded himself into his back legs, his muscles pressed against his striped hide, ready.

The demon figured that next time he could not afford to be so kind.

Fuck.” Uncontrollably she spat out the cuss as the other female went down the hill toward the battling two, almost instinctively following her down as well despite every sense of hers telling her to run away while she still had skin on her back. Instead she followed down the cliffside with snow trailing behind the two women like some kind of white dusty trail, almost beautiful if it didn't feel like they were heading down toward their doom.

The woman began barking out something that she nor the feline seemed to understand - in fact, the cat almost looked angrier than before and Thalia only stood there completely dumbfounded by it all. Slapped with the stupid stick honestly while she stood there almost cockeyed, accepting the horrible fate that would soon come as she watched the feline roar. Everything was just swirling, a huge fucking mess.

At least she seemed to be the most relaxed looking out of the bunch - for once. And to think all it took was a giant knife pawed feline to stand on her back to take a chill pill.

Gina asked me to powerplay Stjor's response since she is away right now 1_face_blush

Though Thalia stood beside her, the fire woman did not feel as though she was really there. Her focus remained on the brawling cat and brother for her own part, trying her best to create a show of force, though the warrior in her demanded her attack without mercy.
The pause in this fighting was an in for Valmúa, who strode with stiffened legs up to Stjörnuáti's side to keep her position and raise her head high and in pride, despite the intensity of the moment and fear that ran through her blood. The roar itself rang through her insides, such that she felt her teeth clatter and an instinctive whine slip from her lips. Yet in the face of this unnameable monster, she knew that he had not done the damage he could. She did not know what gods this creature served, nor its motivation. She only knew her brother and comrade were both alive, and largely fine.
Stjörnuáti bristled, furious with rage and speaking his own loud snarl in response. Valmúa maintained calm, though her body language was tense and domineering. “This fight is not worth it,” she stated. “We will leave you, if you leave us,” she lied. Once the pack got wind that there was such a monster hanging about their borders, they would want to hunt it down and kill it. A large part of her wanted to do so, but she was not stupid, and she knew there was more to this creature than such an encounter could tell.
Valmúa took a very intentional step backward, and pulled at her brother with her teeth on his neck to do the same. He snapped at her wordlessly, but did not bite her. He stood fast for a moment, not excited for his sister's apparent random approval of this demon at their doorstep, but his hesitance was followed with a single step back. He agreed.

They did not attack him...  This agitated the cat,  now having to betray his instinct to rip one of them to pieces; preferably the careless male.  The tiger's face did not release itself from its wrinkled and twisted expression right away.  It took him a moment to change his expression to that of a scowl, looking at the group in distain.  He reluctantly took his own step back, agreeing to the deal without a word.  From his blood matted mane, crimson drops fell in a slow rhythm staining the white snow below.  The cat held his head high; somewhat relaxing.

He had nothing more to say to them, and would not dare turn his back to the group.  He stood there, half way tense, his tail dancing to and fro, still ready for some unexpected betrayal.
