Anyone - including hopefully an @Amphitrite if available
Hades had told him he couldn't just spend the days lazing his life away, but that was exactly what he was doing. Sometimes he would find ways to be useful, including vague attempts at hunting. Most of the time, his hunts were terribly unsuccessful. The more he remembered about the before-times, the worse he seemed to get. He had the continual feeling as though this body was not normal, and this had been confirmed by Atropos, who had accused him of somehow doing it on purpose.
If he had been turned into a horse permanently, that would have been another story. He knew how to be a horse; in fact, he remembered it better than being... whatever it was he'd been.
As he found his way to the beach beside the lake beyond Winterheart, where he often came to think or relax, something startled him almost immediately.
There was one, very important, very useful feature of being a wolf. This was the keen sense of smell that all wolves seemed to share. Instinctively he inhaled the smell, and found within it something that threatened to unlock a memory, but couldn't quite manage it. There was more to his old life. He had always known that, but this smell was an important piece of it.
So he followed it.
