Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported

When the large scared man approached Reiko was concerned. He was intimidating, and the way his maw and tongue contrasted against his pale coat was shocking - but surprisingly, despite his harsh tone and perpetual frown, he seemed charming and kind. Once she worked through his exterior she was certain he was a kind soul.

The perfect match for a woman who desired to feel safe Reiko had deemed.

The man insisted on bringing his own gift and asked that she wouldn't request that his date would bring one too. He said very little and waited patiently for his turn. Picking at herbs and bringing a good portion of them back to Tsukiishi to share, while he brought his own bundle to bring back home once this was all done.

He even went out of his way to get them a few rabbits as a token for appreciation, though he wouldn't say - Reiko had a feeling that was what it was for.

Though Aarkron was clearly a northerner, she had prepared their date to the silent late near by. The smell of balsam would pair well with his fresh, minty scent. And the serenity of the region would certainly do well for Freyja to feel comfortable in.

She had prepared their spot with some of Aarkron's rabbits he had hunted, his smell on them could impress his date and she paired the meal with some mint sprigs she was certain he would appreciate. Hopefully his appearances didn't scare Freyja off - Reiko was certain he was nothing but gentlemanly once that rough exterior was looked passed.

Freyja hadn't expected to find herself here or even interested in the idea of being set up with another. But when news was spread of a matchmaking done by the Empress of Shiroshika, Freyja presented herself as a sign of good faith between her brother's pack and the mountain dwellers. The silver-haired woman was hopeful that this match would be fruitful and possibly introduce her to someone she could offer her heart.

Despite this, she was nervous. Freyja had done her best to make herself appear presentable, even going as far as tucking bellflowers in her fur to coat herself in their floral fragrance. She did hope her date liked their scent as much as she did. The avian she had asked to help her said the color of the flowers would bring out her eyes, and Freyja really hoped they did.

Despite the woman being told not to bring anything along, Freyja hated not showing up with something to give to her prospective date. It felt wrong, in a way.

As Freyja walked up to the meeting place, a slight smile appeared on her lips once the fresh scent of mint reached her. The Empress had done such a fantastic job. The area near the lake was picturesque, and the meal was placed carefully near the area to meet. As Freyja settled near the large man, her keen eyes noticed a flicker of green among the hares. Was it mint?

"It is quite beautiful here, is it not?" Freyja spoke softly, a tad self-conscious if she were honest. She would hate to ruin her reputation in these lands.

Something about the alabaster man seemed familiar. A scent lingered under his own, but she could not pinpoint its owner. Whatever it was, it was not important.

"Did you catch these yourself?" She asked, head tilting to the side as she allowed her eyes to settle on his stoic face. "No one has ever done that for me before."

While waiting for the date to be set up, Aarkron kept himself busy. Keeping himself fed as well as offering some extra carcasses for the pack to store away for themselves to use. He would always make himself useful, and even watch the borders for them from the outside as his own for of gratitude for arranging an event such as this.

Once the hours were approaching for him to meet his partner, he carefully picked the best flowers he could find in the region. Varying from different shapes and colours. Primrose, winter jasmine and even managed to find some camellias that matched the yellow and white scheme he was going for with the bouquet. Their perfume was strong and he's complete the ensemble with some rosemary he had found to compliment the floral scent with something more fragrant and earthy to cut through the sweetness.

Perfect, he thought to himself. Finishing it up just as he approached the location described to him to find. He didn't want to be late and arrived as quickly as he could. The two apparently had the same idea and both arrived at a decent time.

She was a pretty little thing with a wintery storm coat, and a floral shade for eyes that he wasn't ashamed in gazing into for a moment while she broke the ice.

The sound of chirping chikadees, waxwings filled the silence around them. Breaking through the melodies was the harsh call of a blue jay. “It is.” He muttered trying to keep his baritone vocals soft. Whether it worked was up to her. “I did.” Taking a moment to look at the rabbit he had gave the Shiroshikans. What a clever woman their leader was, using his own prey as their meal and decorating it with his own signature scent.

“Perhaps if this goes well, it's something you can get accustomed to.” He didn't quite think just how presumptuous that sounded and instead thought it might have been kind. Like telling one's date he'll make breakfast in the morning upon their first meeting and assuming they would wake up in the same bed - that kind of cocky. Of course, he was none the wiser to how it could be taken.

Freyja found the man rather attractive despite his brutish appearance. His oddly colored eyes had caught her attention when she first arrived at their meeting place and burned their image into her mind as he held her gaze. Her eyes flickered away whenever he held her gaze, a warmth gracing her cheeks when he spoke. She rather enjoyed hearing him talk.

Freyja allowed her eyes to trail around the verdant forest, a welcomed distraction from the intensity in his eyes. The lush forest reminded her of Morðfjall. "I quite like it. It reminds me of my home." The birdsong brought a joy to the woman that she hadn't realized was missing. She did wonder if her date would do the same.

"I would like that." Freyja let out a soft giggle at his words, a smile easily working onto her lips. Did he perhaps like her as well? She did hope so. Freyja was trying to be polite, not too desperate for his attention. She knew the gods would frown upon that type of behavior.

A soft squeak left the girl as she realized she had never introduced herself to her date. How rude of her. "I am sorry, I've been rude. My name is Freyja. What is your name?" Freyja lifted her chin to meet the man's gaze once again, her body growing relaxed in his presence. Perhaps it was his fresh scent that lingered in the air. Or the way he looked at her. Nothing about the man felt malicious or made her feel unsafe. It was a feeling Freyja didn’t want to lose.
