Brelas and Laith

Still new and ignorant to the new gender thing - Reiko was nervous about setting up Laith (and Hawkes but that was less of an issue when she decided on their pairings). It took a while for her to ignore the pheromones but eventually managed to get accustomed to their preferred pronouns and soon enough she got over the strangeness of it all.

She could only hope their partner would be the same.

Brelas seemed accepting enough - not too kind, but at least he didn't come off as ... crude or a bigot, so she kept her toes crossed and held high hopes that this one would work out for them both! After all, Brelas had some preferences, but they were pretty open regardless.

She placed their spot in a little nook on a secluded part of the lake. Lined their spot with furs from Shiroshika to keep them warm against the chilly ground. She couldn't tell if they were comfortable with the colder climate or not, so she wanted to be certain to give them something warm just in case. To the side so it didn't stain the pelts was a couple of rabbits and flowers to make the spot just right. This would be her second same gender pairings tonight, one was biological however and this one was brand new to her so she hoped for the best and wished to hear nothing but good for the both of them once their date was over!

Of all the pairings, she really wanted this to work the most.

The little white wolf Laith had spoken to had been very kind. They hadn’t expected to actually respond to the starling’s call, but Laith had been trying to make connections in this new place. Even if romance wasn’t the first thing on their mind, it would be nice to at least meet someone new and see if it led anywhere. Besides, Reiko didn’t seem like she’d pair him with someone cruel.

They made their way to the meeting spot, a strange nervousness thrumming through their body. It wasn’t as though something bad was going to happen, so he couldn’t figure out why he was so anxious.

Part of it was his whole… physical situation, he was sure. Finding out that he was suddenly without a body part he was used to had been alarming to say the least, and Reiko had been kind enough about it, but what of this stranger? Would this be a point of contention for them?

Oh, well. If it was, Laith supposed he could just leave. There was no changing it, and he was going to have to get used to it himself, so it would be better to find out early if it was going to be a problem for their “date.”

It was a very pretty setup, Laith had to admit, and the furs were immensely appreciated. Out of politeness, they outright ignored the rabbits and decided to wait for the other wolf to arrive, but they didn’t mind stepping onto the furs to get off the frigid ground. Laith had gotten used to it over time, but it still wasn’t his preferred temperature, and he found his tail thumping slowly on the ground behind him as he basked in the comfort.
