Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

In the middle of the coast's blue radiance, was something red.

Not as vibrant, mind you, but it was misplaced against what should have been such a sight. Adrasteia always stood out like a sore thumb. Ragged, half-blind, piss poor attitude. It had been the same in everything before and she awoke with the feeling it would always be the same going forward.

Her luck was not so good as for this to be a change.

It was a continuation as far as she was concerned.

Which was perhaps why she awoke with nothing more than a rolling grumble. Disgruntled already and she had not so much as looked beyond her own nose. Even when she did, she was hardly pleased. The bioluminescent show was not what she had hoped to awake to. A meal would have been nice.

Or anyone to have told here where she washed ashore now.

“Fuck.”

Grand first entrance.

Awoken anew, the girl cloaked in fire walked along the shore, trying to place where, exactly, she was. It was certainly not Blackwood Reach, nor anywhere near it. How could she tell so quickly? Well, for one, it was surrounded on all sides by water.

This realization prompted a hearty “What the fuck.” From young Connie's mouth, very obviously frustrated as she walked — in a rather ungainly manner; sand was hard to walk on, something she'd never realized or thought of before — across the beach. The shine to the water went wholly and unequivocally ignored.

It wasn't until she'd come across another, similar in color even, that Conquest stopped. The lady wouldn't know anything, not judging by the way she cursed and looked around.

“Looks like we're in the same boat, lady. Wanna figure it out together?”
