Her dreams were often of heaven and home. Golden palace filled with abundance and hope, she walks its halls in her sleep- possibly to maintain her sanity. Her heart yearns for the softness of her bed, layered with silk fabrics. Gifts from her husband scattered about the room and the floor, dutiful servants and worshipers working hard to maintain her wonderfully long black hair.
This dream was different. She was still a wolf, but the land she wandered resembled the wonder of heaven. Not quite, no surely, it was much too mellow. It lacked the pristine marble and ivory, the gold inlays of diligent hands. Yet it glowed with little lights, soft and radiant, it reminded her of jasmine blossoms at night. Or stars in the sky. Had they fallen much like her?
She steps out into a clearing, following the little glowing stars. The flicker and blink at her in hello, she can't help but sit and stare. If this was no heaven, which it couldnt have been, then what was this place she dreamt? Was this earth?
