Each tree seems a mirror of the last - twisted just so, draped in scarlet leaves that never fall. Dense thorns snarl the forest floor, snatching at fur and flesh, turning backtracking into a painful gamble. Travelers often lose their way, unable to tell if they’ve moved at all or wandered deeper into something ancient that does not wish to be left.
