Warmth. It surrounded her body, enveloped her, held her like a mother would a babe against her bosom. Like the Star-Mother would hold her children within her cosmic grasp.

It had been so long since Savan had felt so content, so cherished. She missed this feeling, missed when she hadn't felt anger seethe within her veins, when she had been content with her life and her platonic love.

With a wistful, sleepy sigh, Savan lay on her side and stretched; reaching out with her paws, she could feel her toes curl and her lungs fill with the breath of wakefulness, her muscles pulling taught and then relaxing. Shifting, rolling to her back, cold blue eyes cracked open and

looked upon the upside down face of her sister, the very one she thought she'd never see again.

“Tove,” She breathed, tears welling in her eyes.
