She stirs in her sleep when she feels the wind tickle across her skin through her fur. She shouldn't be feeling the wind. Not inside the den she had claimed, temporarily. Waking up in a strange land had been one thing. Doing so with none other than her husband is a nightmare. The only thing that made it even marginally better is the fact that she can still smell her lover on her coat. Its weaker now, his cologne, but its no less buried amongst the pristine strands. She's been dutifully dodging Aurelius since he found her on that mountain side. Their unexplainable relocation hasn't made it any easier, not when they wind up in a land where they only know each other. Any ties she had made were long gone. Begrudgingly, her only choice is to move on, to start again. Only now, her husband is alive and well and firmly planted at her side.
Lashes flutter as her eyes open, icy hues flashing with immediate annoyance. Why is there a draft?
Her eyes immediately snap open, the sleep gone from her in a heartbeat. Where is she is a better question. The den is nowhere in sight, the terrain vastly different from the cold snowscape she'd first found herself in. Ears twitch, the sun dips lower towards the horizon, casting the sky in an array of pinks and oranges and blues. Its stunning. The air is filled with the pleasant chirp of crickets and the birds that haven't yet returned to their nests. The air here is warm, pleasantly so, and the breeze brings an equally pleasant aroma with it. Its all so soothing. Pushing up to her paws, she begins to explore, unable to explain the odd sense of peace. Sybil should be more alarmed, for the second time in a very short span of time, she's woken up in a strange location.Maybe, if she is lucky, Aurelius isn't here with her.
Making a small trek up a hill, she fields the top decorated with wildflowers, all different colors. The air is sweeter her, blending seamlessly with the scent of rain in her fur. Her body creates a disturbance in the flowers, leaving a clear line of her trail behind her. She's wandering the small field of flowers when something catches her attention. Something dark. Sharp eyes zero in on an all too familiar figure. Her dark lips wrinkle with displeasure. Aurelius. Sybil stares at him for only a moment, certain he's spotted her. Then she turns tail and bolts. Back down the hill from where she'd come, in the opposite direction of her husband. Long legs extend with purpose, intent on putting as much distance between her and him as quickly as possible.
