Waterfalls brought a sort of peace to the woman that she could not explain. Sitting here, at the edge of the water, Katja's head tipped back and soaked in all of it. Eyes closed, the sound drowned everything else from her mind; the tangled thoughts, the ice that shielded her core, the mantle of the High King's advisor. Here, she was just a wolf, just a creature that appreciated the things that normally danced out of reach.
The heavy scent of fresh water and life here was strong enough that even she could smell it, and she drew it in with a great, cleansing breath. The water that misted over her, coating her fur with heaviness was ignored in favor of the smells and sounds she could actually experience.
