Appearance

The body has a dark coat with golden accents and dull golden eyes. Their fur is usually unkempt.

Personality

A blank slate. They were once a part of The Pack and knew their purpose... but now they have no purpose anymore. They barely know what to do now that The Pack is gone... now that their mate is gone.

Everything is gone.

There are a few constants, however. They are curious to a fault. Now that their eyes are opened they want to know more. The Pack cannot hold them back so they must know. Already they are bad so why hold themselves back any longer?


Humor and sarcasm sometimes confuses them but when they understand they will laugh and they love to laugh and be amused.

They are shy but they love to get to know others. Other beings are interesting. However, they are excessively submissive and only want to please others. Towards this end, they also want to help and make others happy for that makes them happy.

History

To understand Whisperer, one must understand where she came from. A pack that was almost equivalent to a cult. There the wolves bonded with smaller creatures, mostly reptiles and birds, and were raised to believe that this creature was their "soul". A manifestation of their innermost self. Their parents were in charge of selecting different animals for the children to choose from and once picked, the wolf and animal were bonded for life. Some took to it better than others, the elimination of the "self" to become one with their outer manifestation of their "soul". There was no "I", only "we". There was no she or he, only "they". The animal is "the soul" the wolf is "the body". That is how they were raised, were taught, they lived and breathed it. To lose your companion was your death, to lose your body would be the destruction of the soul. To touch another's soul was death by the fangs of the pack.


Whisperer bonded to her companion just as many others in her pack and took to her lessons with flying colors. They became one and named themselves Whisperer for the body spoke quietly and the soul's voice was just a hiss.


After the body and the soul bond, the second most important thing is the pack. One must be ready to give themselves up for the sake of the pack. No individuality. You are one with your soul, you are one with the pack. Seek nothing outside of it.


Except they did.


Whisperer found themselves in the company of a dalmatian. One who showed them the world outside of the pack and opened their eyes. Once opened, their eyes would never be shut again. They conceived outside of their pack and this was another taboo.


The pack ripped the pups from her once they were born. They hunted down their mate and destroyed him before Whisperer's eyes. Then they were excommunicated from The Pack. Exile was a fate worse than death.


Broken, not ready for the harsh light of the world alone, they ventured forth. Unsure of what they even were anymore... Ever since that day The Body fell into silence. The Soul speaks for them both as they know each other intrinsically and because The Body can commune with The Soul through grunts and hums that they understand.

However, The Body and The Soul were unable to sustain themselves and fell victim to their own inability to survive on their own. They awoke again here, with their lives remembered and their sadness dulled only slightly.
