About Me

The OOC name I'm best known by is indeed the same name as my first character...whoops? ;) The original Bryndel dates waaaayyyy back to the ancient days of WWS1; she was rebooted as a puppy at WWS2, and now again here at Canis. This is the first time her mother Noctilucent has ever actually appeared "onscreen," however, fwiw.
Note that I am frequently nicknamed things with "Bryn" in them, but (unlike another character about) it's properly spelled with only one "n." Just to try and head off that confusion...lol.


IRL I'm a new(ish) mother as well, and frequently my time, attention, energy, and/or brain are eaten by my young daughter Athena. Random spamming of obnoxious tackily-edited baby pics is always a risk!
When the kiddo's not demanding my attention, my Italian Greyhound Pixel or the kitties often are. They too eat my camera space and may randomly be spammed onto your screen, beware. I lay the blame for any and all typos and other brainlapses squarely at their door. ;P I am into weird rare niche dog breeds (...okay, honestly there are few dogs I'm not into, but "my" breeds are often weird ones...lol) and still hope to actually get into dogsports someday, though that may need to wait on my kid's interest and agreement now, too, eek!

Fantasy and science fiction are my genre jams of choice, though I also get deep into sciencey non-fiction, especially having to do with animals, training and ethology. Every year I participate in at least the proper November event of NaNoWriMo, though I've only "won" once and how seriously I take it usually depends on what sort of insanity life is throwing my way. It's offered up a lot in the last decade-plus, unfortunately, but I'm always excited to "play" again the next year regardless. I also occasionally manage to get some of my beloved arts and crafts accomplished, although my space for doing so right now is fairly limited as well. I may pick back up with my needlefelting and/or jewelrymaking in particular as I can, however.
My remaking of (preferably Gen 1 80s-style) My Little Pony toys is shelved for now, though my obsession with Friendship is Magic is not. (I'm warily skeptical of Gen5 already, lol, but... we'll see!) I'm fanatical about Disney and many musicals as well. My Flight Rising and Wolvden accounts are pretty much on hiatus, at this point, though I do still love my dragon characters in particular...I still dabble in Pokemon Go, though, and World of Warcraft when I can.
I'm also a Unitarian Universalist and Atheopagan with a broad interest in religion and debate, though my actual observance of the Wheel of the Year is pretty spotty in practice... whoops. ;D I am especially dangerously passionate about their O.W.L. comprehensive sex ed program, which I find all too needed in modern America still. ...And I'm pretty chattily open about most things, so if there's anything else you might wanna know... feel free to ask!
