Katja is afflicted with CIP (see the Boesch Family compendium entry). This will be a constant struggle in her life, as she will be unable to smell on the same level as a wolf or at all, as well as the inability to feel pain and hunger. Hiero and Ira are likely to baby and heavily watch Katja to ensure her health as they do @Rea.
