Piper is a stocky, muscular young wolf. Her fur is thick, rich, and soft when it's clean. . .meaning, rarely. Piper isn't one for vanity. Her pelt is often tangled with sticks, leaves, feathers. . .you name it, it's there! Sometimes Piper does enjoy decorating her fur with pretty flowers or interesting bones, but they never stick around long. The colors of her pelt range in shade from white to a matte black. Her forelegs and ears almost appear to have been dipped in ink, and her body is painted in an agreeable cream shade. Splashes of silver, orange-brown, and white decorate her face and body, and spots of black adorn her hind legs. Her unique, vibrant coloration means that she is terrible for camouflaging, no matter how much she might claim to be an expert stalker. Piper's eyes are the grey of a washed-out storm - a far cry from the fiery gaze of her brother. Beneath her fur, Piper's body is quite wiry - her build is far leaner than her brother's, but corded muscles are still very prominent. She has the shape of a distance runner. . .built for speed and stamina.

Piper carries the scent of an autumn beach. Crisp November air mixed with salty waves, complete with a hint of. . .seagull? Yep, that's it. Seagull.

Piper is mischievous and wild-spirited, chaotic and optimistic, courageous and steadfast. She's loyal. . .until she forgets who she's supposed to be loyal to, that is. Piper is scatterminded and moves fast, never staying still long enough to settle. She tends to flit back and forth between wolves, maintaining only a few constant relationships. One of such relationships is to her brother - she would do anything for Dipper, and she's sure he would do anything for her. Even if they do fight (regularly, often, all the time) they always make up, and it's been that way since they were pups. They're never separated for long.

Piper is incredibly extroverted - she LOVES to make new friends, meet new wolves, and participate in different customs. She is never afraid to say hello, and she exudes a friendly, welcoming aura. This could also be considered her downfall, however; Piper often spends so much time thinking about other wolves that she forgets she has needs, too, and when she reaches her Extrovert Limit ©, she tends to become reclusive and closed-off for a limited time. She spends her Piper Time collecting flowers, seeking out cool bones, and attempting to wrangle her disobedient fur into submission.

Family is Piper's strongest obligation. Above anything, she honors her blood. She's proud of her heritage and would do anything to protect any member of her family. No matter how far she travels or how distant her homeland may seem, Piper is always connected to her family. . .especially her brother. She's guilt-ridden over leaving him - it was a decision she never should've made, and she regrets it every day. She hides her regret in smiles and extroverted happiness, but there's a darkness that eats at her. One that whispers in her ear: how could you leave him? Sometimes Piper can be found thrashing in her sleep from nightmares about what may have happened to him in her absence. She dreams of his death, and those dreams tug on her heart.

Piper loves to play pranks and tricks on unsuspecting wolves, especially her brother. Once when they were younger, they threw a wedding for their father and the alpha of the pack. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. Their antics stirred up infinite trouble, and both her and her brother gained a Troublemaker Reputation ©. Most thought that Piper's eager mischievousness would wear off as she grew older, but she's gotten no less tricky - in fact, she has an entire arsenal of favorite pranks up her sleeve.

Like her brother, Piper is reckless. She ignores common sense, craving the adrenaline rush that comes with danger. She's often found with bright eyes and a brilliant smile while hanging at the edge of catastrophe - she is ALIVE when she's personally endangered. It's really stupid, but Piper isn't the most intelligent of wolves. She lives life for the thrill of it, and nothing more. She'll do anything she thinks is even a little dangerous, just for the fun of it, and often without regard for the consequences. Common sense screams "NO!" while Piper yells with absolute glee, "YESSIR!"

Piper bounces back quickly. She never holds grudges and is essentially incapable of true anger. She's never been mad at anyone for longer than a day or so at a time, and whenever she does get mad at someone she always feels immensely guilty afterwards - especially if the wolf she's mad at is a friend. Often she'll do drastic things to beg forgiveness of the wolf she's mad at. . .such as organize a wedding for them, or hunt them a huge morsel of food, or find them something really cool. And then she'll get anxious that what she did isn't good enough. . .and it repeats endlessly. Endlessly.

Above all, Piper is unchanging. She's confident in herself and in her personality, and no matter what's happened to her across the span of her life, she's stayed the same. Good ol' Piper, as one fond elder called her. Piper hasn't had any major aspirations (except for one brief stint where she wished to be alpha of Abram) and she lives life purely for the sake of living it. Piper's world may change, but she will not. Her friends will drift apart, but she'll stay put.

Raised in a pack called Abram in a land called Staurrian, Piper had an uneventful childhood. She lived in relative peace with her family, teasing her brother and planning weddings for her father and the alpha of the pack ("Just friends, Daddy? I don't think so. I think you're IN LOVE! HAHAHA!") - generally terrorizing everyone, the little gremlin children they were. She had a loving father and a chill, casual life. Up until she was a few months old, Piper wanted to be the alpha someday. Her plans changed when it became clear that her father wouldn't marry into the reigning family, however, and she had to switch the course of her dreams.

No longer burdened by the aspiration to be alpha, Piper relaxed and began to take pleasure in the little things. . .up until an orphan wolf named Eve showed up. Eve told grand stories of adventure and discovery, and Piper fell just a little bit in love. Piper, naïve and young, embarked on a grand (and ultimately hopeless) journey to find Eve's family, leaving her brother behind in Abram. Just before Piper left, she gifted her brother a piece of peacock stone. . .a memory from their past. Then she left, disappearing with Eve in the dead of night.

Eve and Piper became close, fast friends. The seasons passed, and they laughed and played and journeyed far from Staurrian to a land called Terra. This proved to be their fatal mistake. Terra was war-ridden, torn apart by political tensions and bitter, sharp claws. Piper and Eve tried desperately to stick to the sidelines of the warland, but they were not successful. As it turned out, the wolf who caused the war was Eve's biological mother. Eve was shocked and disappointed - her guardian had always spoken of Eve's mother as if she were some decorated hero. Eve wanted her mother to be the knight, not the dragon, and she took out all that suppressed disappointment on Piper.

Piper was devastated by her best friend's betrayal, and, ridden with regret and confusion, ran straight into an ongoing battle. Badly wounded, she became permanently separated from Eve. Injured, alone, and desperate for something to go right, she accomplished alone what she and Eve together could not. . .she found Eve's family. She found Eve's mother, to be exact.

Piper looked up, and then the world went black, and then she woke up here.
