Evander is a valiant wolf. He holds himself to a status of chivalry and any deserving wolf will be treated with such. He will go out of his way to ensure the comfortability of those he likes. When you've proven yourself to Van you are treated with seemingly incessant kindness and love, although at times his appreciation may come as a trade off.

He constantly has to be doing things. He's very energetic and he must be doing something at all times. He gets anxious when he isn't doing something. It isn't that he feels useless, he just can't stand the thought of sitting in one place for very long. Sometimes he fears if he sits in one spot for too long the ground will open up and swallow him whole.

Selfishness can arise at times. He likes to do things for himself, and often times this can result in the disregard for others. If you aren't on his list of important people then you aren't important at all. He could give less than a rat's ass about you. He'll turn his cheek and he'll walk away, no matter the situation you're in. As long as it doesn't effect him, he won't effect you.

Evander is an exceptionally energetic wolf. He believes every opportunity is a new one to expand his abilities within the world. It's a miracle if the spry wolf is sitting down for five seconds. He constantly has to be doing something. Either if it's tapping his tail on the ground, or pacing back and forth. He doesn't always know where he is going in this world, but he knows he's going to make it somewhere. Whether that's two feet away, or discovering some brand new land. He'll gladly get things done faster than a rabbit making babies.

Despite his stupidity when given the chance Evander can be exceptionally resourceful. He's a battle of wits VS. street smarts. While he may go head first into things he knows how to assess a situation. He can be a quick thinker in times like these, and he can go with the flow of the world in that few moments. Yes, Evander may fully eat an entire bush of poisonous berries because he was 'hungry', he knows how to handle himself in dire situations. His instincts really kick in when he must fight for his life. There's been numerous times throughout his youth and into adulthood where he's had to go fully of of what his heart tells him in that moment. Otherwise it'll cost him his life. Van isn't one to panic within a situation, and if he does it means something is direly wrong. It's a teller how confident he is. If he rushes straight in you're going to come out fine, but if he's hesitant with his actions you may want to watch your step, because if he's nervous you're probably screwed.

Van is very easy to get along with. Up front he's an expressionist and he wears his heart on his sleeve. If you're too different from him it may be an issue, but other than that you're fine. He can be helpful to others and he'll gladly go out of his way to help people he comes across. To some he can be seen as verily chivalrous. He'll go out of his way to find a log to traverse just so that you don't need to get your little paws wet. Hell, if there's a mud puddle he may even go as far as to literally throw himself on top of it. It's very noticeable when he does this as his fur is light. Too light, even. Even so when you get Van to calm down he can be a very sweet person, and he'll obsess over every little thing that may be wrong with you. A total idiot, really. He doesn't care for himself but he ends up going out of his way to ensure the comfortability of others.

On the contrary the formerly mentioned actions only are given to those he trusts and fully devotes himself to. If someone contradicts too much from Evander he has absolutely no care for them. Even a slight variation of something he doesn't like will end you on this half. It's easy to read him if he doesn't like you. Whether he finds the way you chew too annoying, or if he just doesn't like your face. His dislikes towards others can become verily offensive if provoked. When he doesn't like someone he becomes bland and easily irritated. He'll growl at you and he'll quickly brush you off to go do something he actually likes, which isn't you. He becomes short and this is where his hesitance, albeit usually small, entirely goes away. If he can do better than you he will do better than you. In a situation where he needs to help you he will refuse everything. He'll even completely walk away as you bleed out from an injury. He just couldn't be bothered.

Being an instigator is one of his less reputable properties. He just likes it when he can watch the world burn. Although mostly aimed at people he doesn't like this may appear between those he does. He just likes to cause some mischief and chaos. Usually this isn't too bad, but it can reach extremes. This goes anywhere from simple little dares, or even to the point of extreme gaslighting. The less extreme properties are aimed at those he likes. Usually this is taken as playful and engaging. The extremes may be reached when someone on his 'bad list' just does not get the hint. If they don't understand that he simply does not like them he'll go as far as to make them trust him, just to break them back down again.

Even so Evander is the highest priority on his own list. As previously mentioned he is a traveler and a survivor. No matter what he will do whatever it takes to ensure his own safety. Even if that means someone he truly loves gets left behind. It's not meant to be personal, he just views almost everything as replaceable. When in doubt he will be the one coming on top, and he's fine with that. This caused him to lose numerous relationships before he arrived to Canis, but he views this world as a clean slate. Nobody knows his name, nobody even cares for his name now. He can pick and choose who he wants. Maybe he's going to take this new existence as a chance to better himself, but that's just something we'll have to wait and see. Let's see if this young dog can learn some new tricks, shall we?
