Appearance

“When did a dragon ever die from the poison of a snake?”
He is the sun.

He is all the desert grains swaying, all that shines in between.

Tausret was born swathed of sunlight and shadows, of the praising morning and the skulking night. He wears both equally well upon his coat, bathed in shades of gilded hues and soft-lilted creams, in the burnt blood of a red sun which fades from that of gold, in the darkness which sinks below the brilliant horizon. His thievery does not end there, as his gaze is crafted finely, like the faraway stranger ocean or a misbegotten place hidden among the clouds; and it is a deep, astute teal, one which will swallow whole his interest wherever he may deign to lay his gaze.

His body is made for only the nimblest of dancer, it is lithe beneath his stolen gifts, and held aloft the supple curve of tail and shoulders lay a head held high, a crown that will not bow below that of his birthright. The throne was not made for him, and yet he was made so perfectly to fit the throne, abandoned and cast, cruel with blood and age.

The Sunswallow is young, a trait which yet still manages to cling to his coattails with ease. He is boyish beneath the rigid exterior, the eyes which have seen death, the arms length to which he holds others at bay beneath a stare, beneath a clipped word or a bristling nape—he is young, but only in appearance alone.

History

Birthed in the lesser Kingdom of Falifa to Ebony in the presence of his father, Anubis Halise, along with his four other siblings.
Was primarily raised by his Grandparents, Nour and Rhamnus, in lieu of his own parents; it is because of this that Tausret developed more Falifan tradition and demeanor rather than that of Halise.
His parents were both considered too soft, thus the queen of Falifa, Nour, and her husband, raised him in their stead along with his siblings.
Learned Halise & Falifan history, etiquette, as well as other royal duties of which he was expected to perform when he came of age.
Felt entitled to the Halisean throne, an anger bubbling beneath the surface as a boy and an anger simultaneously felt on his blind father's behalf.
Trained for several months under the tutelage of his grandfather as a warrior starting from the lowest rank possible to the highest, best warriors that Falifa could offer to train him.
Against the better wishes of both his parents, his grandmother allowed him to take over half of their army to march onto the doorstep of the Halise Kingdom.
Roughly about this time on the cusp of turning two, his relationship was strained between his parents and himself, more so his father.
Over many more months marching towards Halise, Tausret and his grandmother's army finally arrived to the kingdom; a bloody war ensued that lasted for days which felt like years until, finally, Horus was brought to his knees before the stolen throne.
The next sunset, he was promptly beheaded by the new crowned king of Halise, Tausret Kaphran Halise, on a day known as "Day of the Red Sun," and his head was displayed at the gates of the kingdom as a warning.
Many relatives and former citizens of the kingdom returned, some still missing and others long dead. All seemed set on complacency and contentedness.
Just 12 days after his second birthday, Tausret wakes up in another world altogether. Crownless, throneless, without those he would soon command, without laws he would soon enact, he is left a pauper in the unfamiliar.

Misc. Info

House Halise; Surname only given to legitimate children of the Queen. House Halise has always been a matriarchy until Horus took rule by force & Tausret dethroned him for it years later. Bastard sons or other such males born illegitimately are prohibited from gaining the surname while females are permitted to keep the name and live within the inner sanctum, normally as ladies in waiting to the Queen.

Laurel Walucia; A desert King who was enamored by Queen Eloise and caught the Queen's eye in return; a respectable man in the history of the Halise Kingdom who fell battling with Horus' army long ago.

The Kaphran Wolves; A band of desert nomads ruled by a single sovereign male, this group was first led by Laurel Walucia before being passed down to his second-in-command, Ghraum Huin, and to his lineage afterwards. The band eventually disbanded when a disease swept through their ranks, and then a heated battle with another nomad group completely dispersed the famous group altogether. To honour these warriors, Tausret was given the middle name of "Kaphran."

Hafkin; The Halise term for Illegitimate pups of the Queen, males tend to be given to lower wolves or placed into servitude and castrated at a young age, females are kept within the territory if they wish and are privileged to serve their mother, learn from her, and partake in her affairs if they wish to.

House Falifa; A lesser kingdom residing within the desert of the Province Rodskel. After Anubis and Amun fled and went their separate ways, Anubis found Ebony Falifa and was given safety within the Falifan borders, hidden away from the searching eyes of his brother and his men for years. The two eventually grew close, resulting in the birth of Tausret and his siblings.

Day of the Red Sun; The day when, with a sizeable army, Tausret overwhelmed his uncle Horus and took back the Kingdom of Halise, seizing the kingdom for himself and returning the rightful rulers to the throne. Horus was executed within the Oumbala desert at sundown, hence the naming of this auspicious day.

Horus Xinthes Tvalia; One of Anubis Halise's hafkin and an ambitious man, he despised his half-blood heritage and wished to take over the kingdom once he learned who he really was. He soon amassed an army of rebellious wolves and overtook the kingdom, killing many in the process and forever scarring Halise as a whole. He sired several children with various women, all who fled the kingdom once his head was displayed on the Day of the Red Sun.
