About Me

Hello hello, I'm Dodge! I also go by Burn or Tartarrean elsewhere. I've been a roleplayer for a good few years now, and consider myself a casual, intermediate writer. I'm also an artist and writer of two personal novels; a dystopian story set thousands of years from our current days (and is my pride and joy, love that story), and a more realistic horror story based in 1985. I love chatting about characters, plots, art, my stories, anything! Feel free to hit me up here or on discord, I may seem a little shy at first but if given the chance I can ramble on for days, trust me x)

I consider myself to have a very lenient and casual writing style when it comes to roleplay. You won't find me writing super flowery and wordy sentences, or even being that eloquent, honestly. I like to keep things easy to understand, and easy to write, and just focus on the number of posts rather than the perfect quality. Character development is my main goal in Canis - seeing where the lives of my characters will go in a more active setting, and how quickly they'll get themselves killed...
I also tend to write from the eyes of my character. While staying in third-person, of course, I like to write their inner thoughts and feelings primarily. I put a lot of emphasis on their unique voices, so I may not have perfect grammar as I try to highlight just how they're perceiving something. Of course, I probably will make mistakes outside of that with either spelling or grammar, so criticism is welcome! I want to improve my writing and my style as well.
I'm also horrible at comprehending things, so if I clearly mistake something in a roleplay, just let me know and I can fix it! Sometimes my brain just doesn't want to register what words mean, smh.

I have little to no triggers when it comes to writing, so by all means, please throw all the vulgar and violent plots at me. The only thing I would rather not write is excessive sexual scenes. Dirty flirting, obvious hints, all that is fine, I just have no need to write the actual deed, so if something like that comes up in a thread, I'd be most content fading to black.
Otherwise, I really have no preference, I'm happy writing anything with anyone, so send some plots my way! I look forward to delving deeper into canis with everyone <3
