The second-born child of the WolvenKing and Queen of Stormguard, the pup always sat in the shadow of her sister. She was named North, after the Northern Regions in which her mother hailed from. This given name predicted her sophisticated intellect, and natural scholarly mannerisms.

Although her father was dedicated to the upbringing of his eldest child, North's older sister Aruna, the virtuous Queen always found time for her delicate child. The two reflected each other, and North was molded into the knowledgeable and regal Duchess of Stormguard. Sigrid noticed the pup's intelligence and gentle nature, and so was determined to bring these valuable qualities to life.

North's destiny promised her a life away from her beloved family, betrothed to the second-born of Vegonyth. Her father was constantly tormented by Aruna, who fought for North's best interests. She believed that her sister deserved to lead a pack, therefore should be betrothed to a heir.
