Appearance

A pup caught in the awkward in-between of girl and woman, Desa has to contend daily with the last vestiges of her puppy fat and the spindly length of her legs. She'll surely grow into the grace and strength that is her birthright as a daughter of the Windsongs. She's a pretty little thing; quickly growing from chubby puppy to statuesque stunner, she's not quite caught on to her own beauty yet. She's not really comfortable in her own skin yet and it shows in her low-effort maintenance of her coat - she's got leaves and twigs sticking from her ruff and tail most of the time. Desa's unkempt appearance matches her whirlwind of a personality.

Most of the women in her bloodline sport a thick, powerful build to go along with their role as Sentinels. Desa takes after her father instead. She's going to be slender and graceful as an adult but for now is a gangling, gawky looking yearling.

Desa has things to do and opinions to share. If she's not moving, she's talking. If she's not talking, she's moving. There's so much to do, so much to see, so much to talk to! She has such a hard time staying still that she finds it akin to a sort of torture.

Being a spoiled little princess, she's really never had to do anything she doesn't want to. Now that she's under the strict guidance of her grandmother, she's struggling to adjust. She's so used to others catering to her whims that it shocks her when someone doesn't want to drop everything to pacify her. She's not the sort to throw a tantrum, though. Instead, Desa wants to know why. Why don't you want to hang out? Because you have to hunt? Can Desa come? Why not? She PROMISES she won't scare away all the prey this time! She's adaptive enough to change her plans so long as she gets what she wants in the end - time with others. She's not particularly interested in material possessions because she would rather have something she collected herself, so she never asks for that.

Ultimately, what Desa wants is the attention that she never really got as a pup. Secretly, she's not sure that she can live up to her family's name and she wonders if that would even make her happy. She's too stubborn to give up, though.

History

Desa was born not long before the Forest Enclave began to dissolve. Zaila's leadership was the only thing keeping it together in its final months and once she disappeared, the pack completely fell apart. With her mother determined to succeed the matriarch and her father occupied with his duties as a Druid, Desa was mostly left up to her own devices. Being the only pup in her litter and with high-ranking, mostly absent parents she was spoiled by the civilians who were left to care for her. Still, she longed for the attention of her busy parents only to be repeatedly disregarded or promised 'later.'

Once she was of age, she began training as a Sentinel. The state of the pack meant that she didn't actually get much training and spent more time goofing off with the other trainees, though. She's struggling to make up for the time she lost now that she's being trained by her grandmother.
