The Eye of Osiris

The Eye of Osiris

Deep within the desert, once one has gone far enough to send prayers to the heavens for forgiveness for their folly, rises up the stark relief of what one might call a mountain, steep walls curling to circle around and caress a shadowy land in its sweet embrace. Within that eye of stone is a stone pupil, sheltering the entrance into an age-old underground temple.

The land we awaken in is hell and we, the Reapers of Sanatorium, are those who are tasked with cleansing the sinners who have awoken here. Some may call this world paradise, but we know the truth: It is all a test. We must trust the Divine Mother, the speaker of Death and the underworld. She will bring us to salvation by the blood and flesh of our kind.

Deep within the desert, once one has gone far enough to send prayers to the heavens for forgiveness for their folly, rises up the stark relief of what one might call a mountain, steep walls curling to circle around and caress a shadowy land in its sweet embrace. Within that eye of stone is a pupil, rising up into the midst of the shadows so that the sun may rest upon it even when the rest of the valley lies in shadow.

At the base of this pupil is an opening, an entrance into a deep age-old underground temple carved out of stone and lit by an assortment of small tunnels and mirrors in the rock that reflect the light from above, down, down into the sea of sand. This temple has an underground river running through it, though it is clear by the carved stone steps and arches that this place was once well populated.

As you travel into the heart of the Eye, you will eventually come across a deep underwater lake cut off from the rivers that frequent the tunnel networks and hallways. The lake has a unique algae presence within it, causing the water to be a thick, bloody red.
