Elysium

Sequestered away in a mountain oasis, it is a symbol of new life, of new beginnings. Elysium was created for the holy, the humble, and even the sinful wishing for respite; all of those who wish to worship the gods or simply live out their time in joy and freedom. All lost and vagrant souls are welcome in the fold of this deep-knit family, bound together by goodwill as much as they are by love for one another, and those who enter their ranks are treated with fairness and respect.

Formed from the ideals of a single wolf's devotion to the gods and bettering the world around her, Elysium is meant to be a refuge, a place of peace.

While still believing there are other ways to resolve conflict outside of violence, they do understand that some bloodshed may be necessary for the continuation of a paradise dedicated to sheltering the lost, or simply those who may be fleeing unfavorable circumstances.

To stand up for those who cannot stand - that is their holy mission.

It is expected of all members to contribute by nourishing and uplifting one another in both body and spirit, providing comfort for the lonely, and working together to create a home for those who seek light in a world of darkness.

All may find rest in Elysium, should they find themselves there.

The Mantra

What belongs to one, belongs to all
Small prey and precious trinkets notwithstanding, it is expected that all members pool their kills and resources so that everyone may reap the benefits of a bountiful life.

Respect your neighbors, even if they disagree
While Elysium was created primarily to worship the Five in peace, wolves of all faiths are welcome within its stone walls, and their right to individual freedom is to be acknowledged and not overstepped. Unless the god in question has horrible wolven sacrifices or cannibalistic rituals ... then probably not.

Rank through deeds
Whether it be pack events or through extraordinary feats (or even the small ones that add up), moving up through the pack hierarchy is something that is earned with time and grace; events are also held at the end of every season at a minimum, giving the winner of the games a chance to move up for proving their skill in a particular area.

No soul turned away
If any wolf seeks sanctuary, it is by a divine obligation that they are taken in; no matter how abhorrent, even the lowly and the sinful will be welcomed if they ask it. However, exceptions will be made where if they should seek destruction, they will be cast out.

Heirarchy

Rank is not so much a privilege of lofty standing and great treasure here, as much as it is an honor and tangible proof of a wolf’s skill and character. Those who have earned their respective titles may have the honor of hosting special events and ceremonies, as well as teaching others among the pack the skills of their trade or inspire them to similar feats; all for the glory of Elysium and the gods themselves. All wolves begin as Acolytes, and upon choosing and demonstrating skill in a job class, they earn the title - and from there, earn higher forms. Only one wolf from each job class may earn the title of Divine (class), and those five make up the Council. They are the mouths of the gods, and give counsel to the High Priestess and help keep the pack running smoothly. Example: Acolyte → (base job class title) → Blessed (job class title) → Divine (job class title)
High Priestess: (Alpha)

Thornweaver: (Holds general knowledge of most herbs and various poisons; skilled in healing and altering mind-states)

Windseeker: (Skilled in avoiding detection and known for their swiftness; excels in the hunt)

Events

Houtu’s Howl - To celebrate the turning of the new year, the pack assembles all together within the territory to spin vibrant tales and relish in the time that has passed. Feasting and merrymaking are required, and as the moon reaches its highest, all lift their heads in unison and sing to the gods their wishes for the coming year. The 'winner' gets to sing solo and give the final speech.

For general musical performance, D1-5 is a failure; D6-14 is fair; D15-20 is excellent and worthy of reward.

Bounty of Sylvanus - Spring heralds the welcoming scents and lush blossoms of new life, thus an herbology class is taught by the highest-trained shamans in their profession. A scavenger hunt (decided through dice rolls) is held to acquire rare and valuable plants as a way to increase the Temple's stores, and at the end of the day, those who wish to bond with and open their spirits to Sylvanus’ guidance are encouraged to consume ayahuasca, a hallucinogenic from the Banisteriopsis caapi vine. The winner of the scavenger hunt may move up a rank.

For scavenging, D1-5 is a failure; D6-14 is fair; D15-20 is excellent and worthy of reward.

Trials of Rhys - On the first day of summer, when the sun rises hot in the clear skies above, a sparring tournament is arranged. Each wolf must face their opponent in a fair fight, and the last one standing may take on the duties of the previous fighter chosen to lead and train their packmates in the ways of battle. The winner of the tournament may move up a rank.

Aether’s Cunning - As crisp air settles in over the retreating greenery, an afternoon gathering is organized where one wolf is elected to be Aether and must find their packmates, who are to try and remain hidden until the sun sets below the horizon. The last wolves undiscovered are victorious and may be given special missions to seek strangers in other lands. If Aether is victorious, the same reward is given. All winners are also to be given an undisclosed gift from Amaranth.

For sneaking, D1-5 is a failure; D6-14 is fair; D15-20 is excellent and worthy of reward.

Shadows of Nivia - The bitter winds of winter mean the thinning of herds and hungry bellies; a pack hunt is organized, with the participants allowed to pair in teams of two. The pair who returns with the greatest kill earns the right to lead their own hunt, choosing whatever territory they prefer and the prey of their choice. The winners may move up a rank.

For hunting, D1-5 is a failure; D6-14 is fair; D15-20 is excellent and worthy of reward
