Elkshire

Built by a Queen with an elk heritage, where they are banned to hunt. Residing within forests, a group who seeks peace within their own power and strives to expand beyond their borders. Noted to mostly be warmly-colored individuals, they are protective of their claim and quick to advance in a neutral greetings ; often playing the cards rightly if the other is eligible to join or not. Tied with the Deorwine religion, there is a lackluster and distaste to those who do not suit their standards, and may be subjected to discrimination.

This pack has disbanded.

Elkshire wolves are generally secluded individuals, though friendly to each other as they reside deep within the forests. Protective over their claim and that around, many times they'll give proper warning to leave, but when a thread occurs, they come together as a proper pack. Though in particular, often wolves of pure-white will not be allowed, other colors may vary, but the Queen would not allow someone of snow white to enter the woods. They are particularly neutral but will take in allies if the deal suits them so.

They hold claim officially to The Elk's Crown, but also claim Royal Wisteria Woodland & Sleeping Doe's Range

'NEWSLETTER'
JANUARY 2023 Unfortunately remnants of a battle was found near the immovable Wall beyond the current realm. Edith has been persumed both missing and dead, her body was never found, but the display of blood, fur, and the scent of bear makes one doubt. Members are to be wary for any signs of either the lost Princess, and the missing bear.

December 2022 We welcome a brand new rank, called Silverfish. Those who are Deorwine, it's an insult used specifically for those of a white coat. However now we welcome it as a servant rank, and the first wolf brought into it is called Zombie. Currently as well there is a few missing individuals to keep an eye out for, specifically for the Deorwine Princess Maral, and one of the Divine named Hawking. The deer had left on an escort mission and has been missing for quite some time, keep an eye and ear out and report back if hear anything about these individuals.

November 2022 Elkshire welcomes a variety of different wolves! Some by the recruitment of the Princess's and Prince's and others that appeared upon their doorsteps.. Some quite literally by the sky itself! Many as well had been promoted to trusted ranks.

September 2022 Doc has been promoted to Sawbone! Meanwhile have accepted Rafferty into the ranks, while Edith returns from her journey, but not with Warwick or Calhoun.

August 2022 The waters are poisoned! Beware of drinking for rot has plagued their waters and has caused death to Prince Seaver, and Nympheria of Labrynthian. Many have gotten sick, but the cause has been unknown until Queen Celnes came across rotten carcasses within the river. It's starting to thin out.. As they hold a funeral for not only Seaver, but lost a guard, Nikitas, to lightning as well. After all of that — Faust was found being attacked in the Woodlands, and a new enemy is on Elkshire's hit list. His name is unknown, but he is dubbed as 'the red-eyed devil'.

Arizona and Adrastos are also welcomed as Elkshire's new Wayfarer's!

July 2022 We welcome a few new members! Wapiti, a child found by Hawking and dubbed as his caretaker. We also welcome a new medic by the name of Doc! And finally, Elkshire announced a new ally in the temperate, relatively new in the region but now an alliance is formed.

April 2022 Rahma and Hawking have joined Elkshire! Both of which are Divine Deer to, and are to be treated as equals. Hawking has also found a 'portal' within the north of the temperate that led him into a strange jungle. It's advised by the Queen to avoid as the true dangers are unknown. It cannot be said if those who enter, will return like Hawking.

March 2022 Three royal children, Edith, Calhoun and Aldritch have gone missing. During the search, Queen Celnes was injured by a cougar and currently recuperating within the royal den. She still asks everyone able to search far and wide for them. She gives Warwick authority to use at his discretion while she recovers.

Feburary 2022 — a guest by the name of Minthe is welcomed to the woods for a temporary time (or joins permanent) advised to treat neutrality and help nourish to health.

September 2021 — bear within Royal Wisterian Woodlands, on a friendly basis, do not hurt, they are an ally

ORIGINS
"Oh thirsty fire, hear the voice of water"

Long ago did the first Queen, Celnes, live within the old home of the Déorwine family, Kingslend. However a fire had taken hold of their kingdom, and so many had to flee. Originally so she had lost all, and took refuge to another pack - but with enough healing, and finding her siblings, they were determined to rebuild. Upon rebuilding their claim and finding where the High Elk, the Déorwine God, has reclaimed, they cross mountains and rivers, forests and plains, till' finally finding their home. Alongst the way met many family, and so to rebuild the nation, they started anew.

However with wanting power, Celnes accepted many that are consider unholy, and this disharmony to the devotee's of the High Elk. As tragedies soon follow, eventually retribution came from the two rulers, Celnes and Cenric. Stabbed by irony itself, a white elk.. Though only one, awoke alone within the new land that it was.

There does she rebuild what was lost, but now in the name of Elkshire. A new hatred carries with the association of white wolves, but she quite leniant to other colors. Now generally many wolves vary within their hues, but the brown-coated may always be in favored. Now within The Elk's Crown does the deer-loving group remain, and hoping to grow larger. Though over-time, it's apparent this hatred has changed.

RELIGION

Though not all within the Elkshire group follow the religion, it is still deemed an important aspect of them. The Queen herself follows the way, and thus the group is similar. They do not allow the hunting of horned elk, finding that they are Apostles to the High Elk. Though once it was an allowance to be able to hunt those without their antlers - it has now been banned that no hunting of elk or deer is permitted. Certain traditions are followed, an albeit dscrimination toward white-wolves in the mixture, the Déorwine family customs and religion are not forced down upon. Anyone may join regardless of their thoughts on God, but a respect to the High Elk is still to be asked. More about their religion can be found HERE.
