Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

the albatross seeked @Vendrussel, as if conjured by the rime of an ancient mariner.

she wanted to tell her of her for the bluffs, for what would be glauketas. similarly because they never got to expand upon their uncanny-valley ass déjà vu thing they had goin' on, at least for her. she wanted to know.

she sung gingerly as she waded patiently in unclaimed waters. she hadn't sung since being led away by those surly brigands. since blacksea. "mwen te panse mwen tande granmoun lan di, kite l, Johnny, kite...."

In the wind there was but a familiar humming, reminding her much of home. The way they sung and leached at each other, humming barbically and feasting as the festives come.. It had been a long time since she remembered them, and although tried to partake in similar festives, she felt it was almost disrespectful, to party when war was before their feet. Time would tell, with the court.

"foar shǐ bo gutoi chǒtha men , påar ůnʻ oǔ uu ll thuchingz bo a chingz tu the norb zhøsh the nansh."

Lightly her tongue came as she spoke, the humming within the distance of an unfamiliar tongue — but she knew who it was, seeking upon the brim of the sepulcher. Vendrussel chuffed lightly at them with a smile.
