Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

She was gradually settling her feelings — slowly accepting what had happened. Enjoying the slight newfound freedom, even though it felt empty at times ; she was liking the interactions. It was helping ease an anger that was bottling up from being kicked out, and though she even fought some — it still was in the back of her mind. Orlaith was hurt after all, she thought to be a valued member and was kicked to the curb like it was nothing, and thus continued to bother her. She was someone who needed a purpose, to serve in the sense of protection as nothing else felt more gratifying is when she was there to help.. In that sense when they're in trouble and she can beat them up. Wasn't good with words, just liked being 'the hero' of the day, really.

She liked the respect, those who looked up to her when she would come when needed — that was why she wanted to find a pack, but wasn't sure how to go on about it. Simply loitered around and met many who both irritated her, and also she enjoyed the company. Some more then others, obviously so as gradually she would continue getting to fights.. Just as there was a smell upon the wind — like someone she knew was near.

Her fur ruffled with a snarl upon her face, she could tell there was others coming close, and something felt familiar about one.. But couldn't put a name or face on it just yet, just that it annoyed the fuck out of her. She was in a defensive stance, while snarling into the wind, "whoever you are, show yourselves," because she could've sworn there was two fuckers around.
