^^Agrona’s ears folded back with a deep inhale; the same type of deep inhale a smarter person would use when trying to explain something simple to someone dumber than them. The golden eagle had been the most polite of them, directing Agrona to a different way to cross, versus having to deal with the wolves. And being a former wolf, you’d think Agrona would remember what it was like, but either those memories were fleeting, or she just hadn’t given a damn; what could they do, when they were smaller than she was? Call others, and call others that they did; and it would have been a nice way to go out - if Agrona had wanted, but ironically, that was not what the white mountain lion with stripes had desired, so she crossed away from their stupid oversized rock and went about her way.

How was it that they were able to make her feel like the enemy here, when all she wanted to do was to go north, and be where she could not stand out so goddamn much? Into the river she splashed, finding a moment of joy in swimming, before she crossed and continued on her path. Fuck the wolf. As weird, but also as inviting as that felt, fuck ‘em. If they wanted to be so edge about their pet rock - that was fine. Everything was fine.

She would cross the river away from them, and slip between the trees of the forest and doing her best to stay away from anything else that smelled too much like a wolf, where she would eventually pass between two more oversized rocks, and into a small little forest that smelt both like wolf, and other species, but also, the air was colder; the ground was colder. Oh? Oh! Had she made it to the tundra, where she could disappear into the snow? She hadn’t known where she was, but right now, she was both hungry, and needing to rest from her travels, so she settled down under one of the evergreen trees.

For now, she would rest. The hunt would come later.^^

He had only picked up on this scent once before. It was his own kind on his borders. Kuhn would walk miles, with hackles raised.  It seemed now he felt a hold on his territory and was instinctually moving to meet this threat.  His typically forgiving posture and way of being was somehow not present in the same way it typically was.  He moved solemnly like a warrior going to battle simultaneously entranced and on edge, his step was deadly. He knew this type of behavior would greatly please his princessa if she saw it, but right now it was to much to hide.  She was free to follow him if she wished, though his stride would not stop.

Eventually the scent grew thicker, and then he saw it, another of his kind, a Suncat, a tiger.  She was resting under an evergreen tree.  Kuhn walked confidently through the treeline into the clearing as if he had an army behind him.  Locking his eyes to her, his lips curled back showing the tips of his fangs.

^^There was an interesting collection of scents within this forest; one of the strongest scents being something she’d never quite smelled before, though it was moderately similar to hers - though she hadn’t quite put much thought to it in this given moment. Her paws were sore from the travel, so she didn’t quite go investigating the scent or this forest, but merely, grooming over her paw pads with an idle grumble, half angry at herself because how knew how long it would take before she could be back on her feet again?

And so, for the moment, she did not pay him any attention; not until she realized that the scent was growing thicker and thicker. It was almost as if it was coming right towards her, and then she looked up and there he was. Another one of her, but orange, and somehow more beautiful. His coat was burnt, like a perfectly toasted marshmallow that Agrona really, really wanted to taste.

He came at her with such confidence, making direct eye contact with the cutest display of his teeth. As a wolf, making direct eye contact was a threat. What did it mean for felines? What was he trying to tell her? She watched him carefully, slowly standing in the event that she needed to defend herself, and dared to take a single step towards him. He had the answers she desired, and didn't know if he was willing to give them.

She looked clueless, as if she was playing dumb.  It was one thing for a wolf to cross his borders, when they knew nothing of the feline scent.  Though it was another for another of his kind to so boldly disregard that border.  He could tell that she was looking him up an down, but didn't know what she was getting at, assuming she was playing dumb, clueless to the fact that she essentially had the mind of a wolf.

Her step forward, warranted a growl and a baring of teeth, a seemingly obvious warning. "What are you doing here?" Kuhn snapped, a bit thrown off by her odd reaction.  Standing with a broad posture his hackles remained raised, ready to engage at any moment.

When the fire woman watched her tiger leave her side, she did not think much of it. There was a way about how he was moving, however, that was different. She could hardly place it. He was normally quite calm and didn't often rouse her in her sleep. That morning, something had alerted him to the point of something like alarm, and that in turn alarmed her.
She was tired and didn't get up immediately to follow in by his side. More often than not, the Lord went hunting on his own or to manage other business that she needn't be part of. Whatever had alerted him, she was only half-interested until something sparked.
Tilting her nose to the air, the firebrand caught the scent that had moved him. Another suncat was somewhere nearby. For a moment, there was mild fear etched into her movements as she rose cautiously. His trail in the fresh, thin layer of snow invited her to follow. She placed one of her paws in the pad of his print, inhaling as she placed her nose to the ground. Should he need to defend his territory, she would, she should, be right by him. She would defend him in battle no matter the cost. She could not explain this.
As she followed, she took care to place as many prints as she could directly in his own, like a child. She couldn't explain that either, should anyone have noticed.
When Valmúa spotted the pair, Kuhn was demanding reason from a stranger. The beast he was looking at had an unfamiliar, white coat, but was otherwise striped as he was. The tiger did not carry his jowls, nor the heaviness of him — it was far smaller. Valmúa raised her nose to the air again, wondering indeed if the cat was of the fairer sex. How interesting. Was this a common occurence?
She watched, her scent hidden on the wind but her red figure obvious among the trees.

^^Agrona had taken one very bold step towards the king of this little jungle, and he had growled at her in a very obvious warning that told her that he didn't like that and something stirred in her in such a way that caused her to smirk at him. His first words to her caused her to blink, though; greeting her with words that made her wonder if they were just two very, very old acquaintances. Did she know him? For a moment she was quiet, unable to take her eyes off of him and his very powerful display.

What was she doing here? What was he? He hadn't been here before, but now, suddenly he was, and now he was asking questions. Questions that she didn't have the answer to. “ Well, I was resting. I have traveled a long time to get here, and my paws are.. ” Agrona stopped, realizing she didn't really need to give him information that he could use against her. He probably wouldn't care.

“I did not mean to intrude, ” though, she was certainly glad that she did. “ I.. assume this little quaint forest is yours, and I wasn't trying to take it from you. I just needed to rest, but I can do that somewhere else. I'll leave, should you allow… ” Agrona mused, slowly turning and attempting to head out.

Exit unless stopped ^^

Kuhn watched her intently the entire time, he was fixated on her in fact.  He wasn't sure what compelled his typical hospitality to slip, perhaps some smell or instinct Kuhn wasn't sure.  Once again he didn't know what he was feeling right now. The answers she gave where more than sufficient and typically he would have been happy to let a traveler stay but, something unknown got the better of him.  He was perceptive enough to know that she had traveled a fair distance, she told him that she needed to rest, so now would be the time to attack.  Though it wasn't necessary, she seemed to be showing herself the way out.

As she turned to leave something really caught Kuhn's attention, it was really a combination of things.  Firstly, the way she moved as she turned to leave, her feline musculature rolling beneath her pale pelt, it was almost odd to see another move like this, alluring in a way.  Furthermore her scent seemed to add to the confusion, where a moment ago he was frustrated by it, now he was curious.

A collection of emotions and guilt for his behavior spurred on his willingness to continue. "Hey, what's your name?", he managed to blurt out. After all, it was one of the only times he had met another sun cat.

Valmúa eyed the other, narrowing in to see if it was a threat or not. The posture seemed defensive more than anything. The other tiger, though a stranger seemed to be moving to leave the moment that Kuhn had shown any amount of aggression toward it.
It was here, at that juncture, Valmúa confirmed that the animal was a female suncat. It was little more than fascination that was written on her. She wondered what cats did for courtship. Were they as birds? Did they pair for life? Did they pretend to pair for life the way that so many boys she knew had? Or was it a quick in and out, the way that insects and lower animals did?
Her nose snorted audibly in a faux sneeze as she cleared her nerves. Whatever the case, it seemed like this cat was hardly a threat to Kuhn. She pondered leaving.
Instead, the fire woman stayed close. Her form was still visible in the treeline, especially as the sun grew higher. She paced a few odd steps before laying down to watch them. She did not know where in tiger society she fit into Kuhn's life, just as she didn't know where he fit into hers.

^^Of course, right? Of course, Agrona would finally find another member of the species that she had come back as… and he’s an asshole. Was he a justified asshole, though? Yeah, probably; maybe cats were just super anal about their land like wolves were. There was a lot that Agrona needed to figure out about this wolf-turned-cat nonsense, and it looked like she needed to do that on her own. So she boldly turned to leave, wondering if he’d take this time to attack her from behind. She had expected it, honestly, and she relied on her other senses to warn her of an attack.

Instead, the only movement in this little forest did not come from it’s king, but from a lesser creature. One that Agrona would spot as she turned to throw her head over her shoulder to glance at the pair, as Kuhn suddenly grew curious. Some part of her was annoyed by the game he was playing. Either he wanted her to get out of dodge, or he wanted to know her. He could not have it both ways, so for now, she paused there, staring at them as she slowly turned around to actually face him, and immediately coming to lay back down.

It was there that Agrona debated telling him the truth, but Agrona was a prideful catdog and didn’t really enjoy seeking the help from aggressive strangers. So she would sit there, staring at him in wonder for a few brief moments with a sigh and toss of her head, as if he was asking for an arm and a leg.

“I am Agrona. It is very lovely to make your acquaintances.” She’d muse, slowly drifting her line of sight to the pet wolf.^^

The cat's stomach twisted, he had once again let out the worst in himself, giving in to some lesser instinct. Luckily, she circled back and laid down. Kuhn didn't know if her flippant display was meant to bother him. Though, he couldn't blame her, he had been out of line.

As she laid to the tundra floor, Kuhn found himself relaxing as well. Kuhn lowed his hips to the floor, sitting, reciprocating her trust. Now with the possibility of a fight reduced Kuhn responded, "My apologies, I am Kuhn." He still wasn't sure if he should trust her just yet, tracking her eyes and every movement. "And, that is Valmua..." He continued, as he watched her eyes pass over the wolf.

Something about her even looking at the wolf disturbed something in him, he couldn't tell what she was thinking, but he knew what he could be thinking. Was she musing about what piece of flesh would be the most tender, or where to best sink in her fangs.

He was attempting to stay calm but his hackles betrayed his discomfort for her gaze. "So your traveling?" he blurted, not sure what else to say, to re direct her gaze.

When Valmúa was spotted by the cat, she said nothing, staring quite openly at the she-cat with something between curiosity and annoyance. Her ears were perked forward to listen in on whatever conversation they were having. In particular, she was able to catch her name falling from Kuhn's gentle lips. She exhaled long and slow, watching her breath fog in the early air.
What would she do with all this when things inevitably slowed their pace? Never had she been so fixated on another person. She had always pulled the strings. Yet in scenarios like this one with a she-cat that she could do nothing about or for, the poppy girl found herself stretched for actions and confused by how she was feeling.
Perhaps instinctively, she ran her tongue over her front teeth and side carnassials, yawning large and wide before returning to an alert position. She trusted no one, but perhaps it would be more useful for her to leave the pair and find some breakfast.
It seemed counterproductive for her to mosey on up, so she stayed.

^^It was an interesting thing, to witness a cat of his stature to be within the company of the strawberry wolf and for a moment, she thought very fondly of the man she’d left behind in the forest. He, too, had been canine and of a similar coloration that Agrona begged to wonder if they might be related. She thought about this for several moments, in fact, though it was impossible not to notice the growing discomfort within Kuhn.

Agrona would smile, though it was brief, dipping her head twice to both greetings, and allowing her gaze to, and for a moment, return back to Kuhn. “Hi there.” After all, he had just introduced himself and his pet, and Agrona did not want to seem rude, even if she had totally barged into his home without even knocking.

“My travels end here, I’m afraid. I thought it wise to come… to a place where I could hunt without being seen as easily. White does not blend very well against the browns of the forest, but here, in the vast open tundra… ” Agrona glanced around, making note to avoid looking at the wolf, Agrona licked over her lips as she went back to grooming her sore pawpads for a moment, and then - she picked up her head and looked right at him.

“Kuhn. What… are we?”^^

It was obvious Kuhn was still a bit tense, side eyeing Valmua.  She knew very well the danger she could be in, but he knew she didn't much care.  Likely she got a kick out of it.  Nonetheless, he kept himself postured between the two, prepared to fight the sun cat if need be. Though, she seemed polite enough, and returned most of his attention to the pale cat.

"The tundra is a large place..."  He replied looking her up and down, a bit enchanted to see another of his kind, but insinuating the nature of his territory none the less.  At least until she could be trusted. Typically, a malicious wolf wouldn't be much of a problem, and could be shaken to death without much effort.  But, another tiger could turn out to be a bigger problem.

"The hunting is phenomenal no matter where you go, the boar keep to the forests, and the caribou roam the open planes, the coasts and the rivers have some novel game as well." , offering his fellow tiger some advice, sharing his passion for hunting. "Oh and there is wolf, basically everywhere you go." He offered as an obvious joke, with his companion sitting so close by.

All the while, he was playing an odd game of eye contact with her red eyes, both trying to pierce into them and then looking away if hers looked back.  If it could be seen, he might have been blushing.  In one of those exchanges, her glare became more direct as if to challenge him.  Though she only asked a question:  What are we.  In fact he didn't quite know.  "Some call us suncat, tiger, cougar, mountain lion, demon..." He exhaled softly before continuing, "I'm sorry I wish I could tell you more, Ironically, the wolves to the north could probably tell you more."

^^Agrona would have loved to challenge the orange and very good looking variant, but if only to test her new strength in this new body. She already knew that she could climb, and had powerful paws for swimming - which she had found to enjoy - but to tussle with someone else that was like her in almost every way? Ooh, what a thrill! When her eyes found him again, he was looking her up and down, and Agrona responded to this by doing the exact same to him.

And then came something unexpected! Hunting tips! Oh, how joyful, Agrona could kiss him right then and there. He told her about where to find just about anything, even if she had never had caribou or boar before. Man! Had her life as a wolf really been that boring? She pouted, softly, at this thought, with lowered ears, until he joked about wolves, and her thoughts ran over to the female in the background.

Was… he keeping the strawberry around to eat her? Did she know? Did she need to be.. saved? She didn’t really look like a prisoner. Her brows went forward, and then she wrinkled her face with a display of teeth, and her tongue sticking out. It was both funny and also disgusting, as someone who had been a wolf before.

[Image: 1580403793tiger-sticking-tongue-out-gif.gif]

“I don’t think I could stomach a wolf.. ” Agrona groaned, though catching his eye contact a few times with the arch of her brows. Not quite challenging him, at least, not yet; not while her paws were still sore. “And… are there others, then, like us? Or are you the only?” Did it matter? Weren’t cats loners, anyway? Lord, how was Agrona going to adjust from being a social creature to… this?

Agrona pondered, boldly glancing him up and down on her own with a coy, and one might even say, seductive look adoring her features. “Thank you for the tips and answering my questions. Is it okay if I stay here awhile, or would you rather that I rest… somewhere else?” Perhaps if she let him think he was in control, he’d lower his guard enough for her to consider trusting him.^^

As he spoke the mood seemed to lighten, she really seemed to be interested in the topic of hunting.  Nor, did she seem like she had any malicious intent.  The pair's eyes began to spar, as they both began to simultaneously size each other up, and inspect those rarely seen feline features.  Kuhn was soaking her up now, actually a bit enthralled by her presence here, forgetting almost entirely about the potential danger here. Now that the mood was lightened, he once again got to his feet, taking a step closer to test the waters.

"Oh wolf? I don't eat them either, something about that would feel wrong" , she obviously missed the joke. In fact he didn't really remember any reason he had to not eat wolves, it was as if some unknown memory form his part life made it seem detestable.  Though he was relived that she claimed to not prey on wolves. After all, everyone he knew was a wolf, at least until today.

"I only know of one other that's around right now, I have never met them but know they where within the walls of that mountain." He taking another small step forward, and motioning to the ridgeline of Shiroshika.

Still she glanced him up and down, giving him the look.  Kuhn, in a tight spot with his lover right behind him, licked the side of his lip, with a bit of excitement and nervousness. His ear twitched in frustration, when she asked to stay, but so far he had no reason to not trust her.  "No, rest here. It would be wrong of me not to take in a traveler..." He said half flirtatiously , it almost came out as if he didn't think that through. He didn't dare to look behind him now, he figured burning eyes where waiting for him.

The firebrand listened. Her attention drifted momentarily, and she yawned a second time. Kuhn began describing the local ecology. He also described her in his idea of a joke, and at it she stood, her tail waving in the slight distance. She didn't say anything, for at the distance she was at, she would have needed to shout. She raised her lips at his "wolves to the north" commentary, for she was indeed one of those wolves of the north. She knew his jest, and stuck her tongue out toward him for good measure.
Funny enough, it was at the same time the female tiger made a face.
As she asked for more from him, Kuhn gave it to her, offering a place to stay. Smirking, the fire woman scoffed, whipping her tail around to her side in a strangely feline-and-wolf gesture. Grinning almost from ear to ear, she licked her lips and promptly left him there without a word.
Wandering away, she moved on to fetch breakfast, intentionally taking her sweet-ass time on the venture.

^^Agrona enjoyed the lighter mood of the atmosphere here, as they played a silent game of cat and mouse with their eyes. Sometimes she was bold and looked right at him, though often she would break eye contact to make sure he wasn’t seeing it as a challenge, and then becoming bashful and looking at him, but then quickly looking away whenever she caught him staring at her. They were clearly very interested in each other, and as Kuhn tested the waters to come near, Agrona’s ears flickered forward, on high alert as she watched him almost suspiciously, as if he was the one in her territory, and not the other way around. Was he wanting to show her the way of the tiger?

Something about that would feel wrong. And while the joke had been missed, for she had been having too much fun, looking at him and and down like the meal that he was. Yet, those words brought her back to the conversation, in wonder if he and she were in the same boat. “Oh, would it? And why is that, Kuhn?” She’d coo his name, taking a moment to pause to glance at the departing canine, and then to the mountain in the distance.

When she’d glanced back, he was yet another step closer. Her brows arched forward though she needn’t move. Instead, she brought her voice to a whisper; making it near impossible for him to hear her until he took another several steps closer. “I appreciate your hospitality, Kuhn.” Agrona growled softly, an almost alluring tone in her voice and finding that she really enjoyed the way his name rolled off her tongue.^^

It was true, he was interested in her, the attraction was involentarily. He was a man and she was a woman, and of the same kind.

As he suspected, his princessa had been effected by his display, her scoff rang in his head for a moment twisting his stomach into a knot. His ears drooped at what looked to be physical pain. Turning around he watched the wolf leave. "Shit..." He whispered under his breath, before adjusting his gate to turn and leave.

But before he did, he looked back to Agrona, still pained in the face. He really wanted to continue their chat, though now he had to go. Trotting away, he only made it a few steps before stopping. "Hey, I'll see you around, we will have to pick this up later." . He stated with a friendly smile.

Looking both ways again he figured he was in trouble anyway, Kuhn would quickly prance up to Agrona if she would let him and strafe his muzzle across hers an exchange, a typical feline greeting. Then he would, have to go quickly after the wolf to make up for her head start.

^^It hadn’t taken a genius to put two an’ two together here, as the wolf had been in some sort of mood when she’d left, and now the tiger was going after her - or at least, that was his intention. Kuhn truly cared about the canine in some way, though how much or why was beyond her and she didn’t quite think about it. He had turned to leave, offering to pick this up later.

And then, almost as if at the last possible second, he was back and in her face in a friendly, almost affectionate manner that she hadn’t expected. His handsome mug was in her face, and Agrona simply could not help herself. One of her paws came to his face; not in an aggressive manner, and certainly not to slap him, but instead, in attempt to pull his face back to hers so that she could kiss him - if he would allow - and whispering in his ears, See you around, handsome, before allowing him to chase after his pet… if that was still something he wished to do.^^

As he offered the woman his greeting and parting, it would leave a bit of his scent with her and he would take a bit of hers with him. The gentle greeting typical of cats was already a tender thing, that not many would think befitting of beasts like themselves.

With his eyes Momentarily closed, he could feel a paw on his cheek. Intuitively he went with it and suddenly his lips met her own. It was a short kiss, and undoubtedly it stirred something in him, as he took in the scent of her muzzle. In the end he would pull away. A slight look of surprise was laden on Kuhn's ink marked face. He couldn't believe she just did that.

Kuhn couldn't help it and cracked a slight smirk, then without another word he turned and trotted off, to catch up with his wolf.
