Appearance
A bird of regal bearing and a classic example of his
species: an enormous, wedge-tailed vulture with a deep ashy-black mantle highlighted with silvery filigree down the centre of each feather, creamy off-white underparts with a deep rusty suffusion to his breast and fully feathered neck, and a smudge of dark markings across the chest. His eyes are pale yellow encircled by a bright crimson ring.
Personality
A shrewd creature and an eager devil's advocate, Atlas has relatively few convictions of his own. Well-spoken, pleasant - if somewhat sardonic - and largely altruistic, he is compelled by logic rather than empathy, and a lifetime of monks' reverence has fostered a certain arrogance. A curator of foreign tongues and lore, he is drawn to the mythology of distant lands.
