At the cusp of his second year, Kestrel has finally come into his own.
He's short but solid, the gangly, oversized limbs and ears of his youth now strong and well-proportioned. He possesses a toned, athletic build beneath that golden pelt and azure blue eyes — a testament to his energetic nature.
Having taken largely after his father, Kestrel is cloaked almost entirely in dark, dusky golds. His undersides lighten into a pale cream that coat his legs and cheeks, cutting a vibrant stripe just behind his shoulders. Laid across his back is a saddle of soft browns, sweeping up across his shoulders to the end of his neck and extending down along his back about halfway to his tail, broken only by the pale stripe. Though he has something of a boyishly handsome charm, it’s clear from the generally unkempt nature of his fur that he couldn’t give half a mind to his appearance.

Personality
Depending on who you ask, Kestrel can either be described as a sweet, spirited youngster or a feral hurricane composed solely of unstoppable chaotic energy. Neither descriptions are wrong.
For starters, calling him hyper would be an understatement. Kestrel seemingly has an unlimited reserve of energy and then some. He's constantly in motion, whether it be chewing on someone, rolling in something, or simply tearing across the valley at top speed -- he even moves around in his sleep!
His hyposensitivity makes him a very tactile child; he loves textures, craves touch like he needs oxygen to live, and explores the world with his mouth. This makes him particularly accident prone, as he is willing to put anything and everything in his mouth and often doesn't even register he's been hurt unless someone points it out to him. He's not afraid to get down and dirty during play but is rather clumsy and often can't tell when he's being too rough.
Kind and extremely social, his quiet nature and habit of communicating mainly through exaggerated body language unfortunately limits his potential for successful interactions outside his own family. Thankfully, he doesn't seem to mind, having become particularly close with his sister Dandelion. He feels responsible for her, in a way, revealing a softer, more empathetic side of his personality when they're together.
