Personality
"So I'll send a postcard from wherever I may land
I ain't got no master plan and that's alright"
Magic sparkles within the boy's eyes and flowers fall out of his mouth when he speaks. Obi is happy and friendly and bubbly and energetic. He sees the good in every evil and the light in the darkness. Being negative is a foreign concept to him because, well, why? Why bother with those nasty emotions when there's so much more to do and see? To him there's no reason to hold a grudge or stay mad for very long. The man is positive to a fault and he's not changing his view of the world any time soon.
Nature is practically the kid's religion. The world is alive and brimming with so much wonder and just being there in the moment and listening to the sounds and seeing everything makes him feel so alive. He finds his reason for being in nothing as just being, in his opinion, is a wonderful and joyous thing. A breath of fresh air is a thrill, the smell of the trees and nature is an experience to always enjoy, and the company of others his kind and not his kind is indescribable enlightenment.
With age comes experience which is something he lacks. He doesn't know how to handle negative emotions very well. Death shakes him to his very core, being scolded makes him cry buckets, the list goes on. Most of the time, he just withdraws into himself. As much as he is happy, darker feelings just as easily envelope him when needed. How he shows them varies greatly.
His friends like to say he fears no fear. That he's the bravest person that they ever knew, but it's just naïvety. Such friendliness, the heroism he practices, will eventually lead him down to dangerous paths or people if he's not careful. Obi knows to look out for danger, but it clashes with his motto of finding the good in everything. All that he does is made up on the spot, a type of 'fake it 'til you make it' way of things. Whatever seems like wisdom, experience, responsibility, or anything more mature than he is, it's all due to pulling it out of thin air. He mimics his family a lot, too, so that helps.
