As her Déorwine genes accredit to her, Thistle is large in build. Her legs are her most powerful feature as her strides are confidently placed with calculation and strength. Grace and prestige are her downfalls, not having as accurate and fast dexterity as most nimble pawed females do, but still carries herself with self-assurance. It is clear she possesses power in her figure and can be frightening enough in moments of aggression. Her pelage is naturally downy and soft. During the colder months, her thermal layer makes her appear bulkier than she really is. Rarely does she ever find herself to be cold. In the warmer months, her coat considerably thins out which reveals more of her feminine curves.

In honor of her namesake after the flowering plant, Thistle can have a prickly reputation. She is selective in who she chooses to associate with and is loyal primarily where it serves in her best interest. Like many devouts of the High Elk, Thistle is steadfast to the High Elk in such a way it verges on fanaticism. Believes in having a divine purpose for her existence, although not realizing how or why, Thistle believes it relates to burial ceremonies and carefully orchestrating "The Service" rituals. She is often adorned in ceremonial garments such as a deer pelt draped across her back like a robe, severed deer legs with hooves intact around her neck, or a display of antlers. While her divine purpose may make her seem morbid, she is not at all sadistic or cruel. In the presence of white wolves, Thistle is harsh and derives a fair bit of pleasure from their punishment and hardships.

Thistle's upbringing has constantly been on the move. Born in their original lands of Kingslend, the Déorwine family was forcibly homeless due to a large forest fire that brought great destruction to the land and their kin. The majority of Thistle's relatives were largely scattered, although her direct family kept ties with her paternal relatives and cousins. Her parents and siblings followed her paternal relatives to Whitebark Stream. As any curious adolescent would, Thistle left Whitebark Stream for an undisclosed period of time with one of her siblings. Under the guise that it was the High Elk himself putting her through a trial of survival, she and her sibling survived on their own means before becoming separated. It wasn't difficult to trace back to where the Déorwine mainly congregated, and so ended up in King Elk Forest where her paternal cousin, Célnes, is currently staking claim as their next home.
