Fionn speaks with a thick Irish brogue — a fancy way of saying accent. His tone is deep, which does not help to understand him at all. He frequently quotes lingo from Ireland and jargon picked up from his time spent at sea. He can also be crass and unfiltered, with little care if he makes others blush or pissed off by his words. Fionn has a habit of sneaking in very colorful swear words despite his intentions not usually being hostile. Mixed with the slang of his culture and the phrases of his profession, he comes off as aggressive and intimidating.
Those that know the sea dog argue he is actually very gentle. He just has difficulty displaying a vulnerable side.
He is missing his right eye completely, surgically removed at sea after infection from a wound. Fionn has been living with one good eye for three years now, and he's pretty used to it. If he ever lost his eyepatch, the sight isn't grisly. It will look like his eye is perpetually closed. While he has old battle scars, they are either faded or hidden by his thick coat of fur. Strangely, he's rather vain about his floppy ears and thankful he still has them relatively intact.
