The epitome of non-threatening, a fluffy lamb who could do no harm to those around her. She seems imbecilic at times when blatantly ignoring the danger of her surroundings, shown to be absolutely fearless no matter what situation she lands within. Melantha comes off as friendly and kind-hearted, albeit coy & flirtatious persona plays into this mentality as well. She yields a calm, carefree disposition as well as a genuine smile at all times, be the situation dire or leisurely. Melantha often appears apologetic and amused at what happens here and there, though she delivers every 'sorry' and every chuckle with the utmost care, each refined to the sweetness of sugar. Still, she's difficult on social cues.

 Although it is true that Melantha's less than moral sense of those around her and lack of social empathy may stem from memory loss and forgetting about such aspects of life, she has always been this way -- even prior to arriving in Canis. She is incredibly intelligent, her wit towering over most of her peers, and utilizes a silver tongue delicately paired with her sweet, carefree disposition and tendency to compliment and charm others in order to get by. She is quite malicious and is greatly entertained by confusing others or causing them mental distress. Her partial facade is only dropped when she is around similar characters, but it's always impossible to pick out the truth from her web of lies.

 Melantha's start was nothing short of unusual, birthed into a cult -- The Faith of Desdemona. Dedicated to worshipping a deity who her parents referred to as 'Desdemona', Melantha's unusual looks caused her parents to believe that she was Desdemona's direct medium. For this reason, Melantha, whose birthname was Hecate, was named Hecate Desdemona. They believed that she heard the voice of Desdemona and could see her through dreams. Hecate was crowned the religious leader of the 'pack', but when her parents died and she took full control, there was hardly any Desdemona left to it. Just her... Hecate.

 Hecate recognized that her followers were all afraid of death. To solve this, she slayed them in secret and buried them in what she thought of as a holy garden, to let them 'live an eternal life within the garth'. Despite these nefarious acts, followers kept coming in. This was because of Hecate's natural charm -- she felt no guilt, seeing as she believed she'd 'saved' her followers, so it was impossible to tell her plans before it was too late. However, one day, Hecate became comatose. When she woke up, she had no idea where she was, or who she was. What was her name? She'd nothing to do other than relearning...
