THE SILENT HOUND

^^A great silhouette of a hound, gleaming obsidian and steel, prowls the moor. Moonlight shines upon his flanks, glittering silver forever rippling like ceaseless waves, as shade ascends to claim his face, creating an eternal mask over his features, and trails down his spine. Shadows also seep into his skull, colouring his eyes deep grey, bordering on black - but not quite - and granting him a haunting stare. Unlimited void that consumes everyone and spares no one; that sees everything.

Powerful muscles that carry the beast forwards do not hide the strength he possesses. Brute violence shivers within his form, a lingering entity brimming just beneath the dark skin. Thus, his movements are never without purpose; he stalks like a night hunter, he moves like a warrior upon the battlefield, and he strides like a noble across the great hall of his castle. His speech is equally measured, his voice quiet and low, words rarely uttered more than necessary. Yet, additional restraint can be observed in his motions: he is a beast caged.

Personality

^^A hound walking at his master’s side; freedom is not a state this man is familiar with. The chain collar that clasps his slender neck is forever, and it would not be unlatched by anyone but the person he deems his master. He doesn’t want it to be, anyway; he guards his lead with the ferocity of a feral animal, baring his teeth and lashing out to anyone who dares to want him free. He will not heed another’s wishes or commands, except those belonging to his master. He only rises at the sound of her name; he bows at the cadence of her name; and he attacks at the utterance of her name. Only she has the power to tame the silent hound and quieten the rabid dog.

Alecto Kalon.

When straying from his master’s immediate side, he follows his own moral compass - which may be indecipherable to most. Unpredictable in some ways and predictable in other ways, pride and devotion are the primary fuel that drives the hound, burning so brightly within his breast. It hones his tongue into a blade, his teeth a series of deadly daggers, and his body a powerful war hammer with the sole intention to ruin. He is strong and his will is unfaltering; he is able to withstand many things - an impressive ability he owes to the training supervised by his master.

He is careless, cruel, and cold to many, but two. The first being, of course, his master; only to her, he would nod his head and offer a smile that promises nothing but gratitude and obedience. The second being the only woman who holds the key to his heart, the only remnant of his fragmented childhood; his sweet, malicious sister who wears a wreath of bones upon her skull.

Rayana Sakah.

Separated in infancy, overdue reunion with his lost sibling has warmed his heart; thus far, only she has experienced the true warmth of his affection and seen the kindness that lurks within the shadow of his mercenary heart. Rayana Sakah is dead.

The sweet lilt of his sister's name was replaced by the name that tears him asunder, that gores his chest and empties his breast of any warmth he once felt, that bares his teeth and fills his parched mouth with saliva, awaiting the blood of his sister's butcher to cleanse the sour taste of pain, grief, and fury. It is the violent song his intent dances to. Only her name threatens the dog's devotion to his master; only her name is capable of luring the hound away from his master and toward the scent of this killer.

His life is shaped by these three names. One of them will be his final destruction; he knows it and welcomes it.
