Born to the God of the Dead, Hades, and unknowingly Persephone. Zagreus believed that he spent his time living as a prince of the underworld. The home where he lived was challenging in a number of ways, but nothing was quite so difficult as the estrangement between himself and his father. When he became old enough, Zag decided that he would make an escape attempt. It was in this that he found other members of his family and they helped him to succeed in his goal. His uncles Zeus* and Poseidon* were paramount in his success, along with Athena*, Artemis*, Ares*, Dionysus*, Hermes* and even Thanatos*.
