Appearance

Though she takes her name from her late aunt, Liffey takes after her parents and older brother in appearance, and is nearly identical to her littermate, Lagan. Her pelt is a wash of gray shades fading to white along her underside. She sports the trademark black spine of the Blackthorn family with slivers of white trimming the inky fur just past her shoulders to the middle of her back. Between her brilliant orange eyes is a smudge of white and trailing across her cheeks on either side is a streak of darker gray. Liffey appears petite, delicate and sylph-like, but carries herself with strength and confidence.

Personality

Since her youth, Liffey has proven herself to be a well-balanced mixture of both of her parents. She has her father's patience and level head and her mother's curiosity and fire. She is a proud wolf--confident and, at times, a bit severe, though also quite loving and affable. She has an elitist regard of her family and tends to look scornfully upon those that are not her own blood, though she recognizes this as not being one of her better qualities and works very hard to keep it hidden. She also tends to be very traditional in her views of community and gender roles--something that stems from the insecurities she blames on the way she was raised by her mother. She favors sons over daughters, regarding them as the princes that will one day rise into kings while girls should be groomed to be doting wives and mothers to their own future kings.

History

Liffey was born to a pack's beta pair that rose to become alphas a few months after her birth. Her upbringing was nothing out of the ordinary, her parents both being good-natured wolves that simply did their best and found contentment in that. In spite of their lack of care regarding rank and power, Liffey was born with ambition and independence, which eventually lead her to chafe under the rule of a mother who had a tendency to be over-protective. She left her pack against her mother's protests when she turned a year old to make her own way in the world, and to build a legacy for herself and the family she one day hoped to have.
